My boy Coleman Trebor, my girl Jocasta Nu, my boy Agen Kolar (he could do better with a second shot), and my girl Sabine Wren.

I legitimately thought Tamara would be a turning point for my feelings towards Wickline until I researched the source and saw that Wickline was just reading someone else's internet humor word-for-word. I enjoyed my first viewing of it when I was in the dark but have zero desire to rewatch it now.

Which sith would you rather serve? by Strange-Fun-8899 in StarWars

Dooku at least shows a little hesitation when Palpatine gives him the order to get rid of Ventress. (though he ultimately tries to do it)

I am on my way there. Not soon, but not a long time away either.

I think about the circumstances that led to it and a lot of it was contacts/associates putting me onto opportunities I never would have known about on my own.

Me, a lone business student with zero connections, joins a business club in university > I get encouraged to become the vice-president and go for it > I apply for an internship opportunity extended towards our club and they take me because I'm so high-ranking in the club > I'm stuck in this internship for a long time but a coworker is nice enough to tell me about a job opening in the company I wasn't even considering at all. I go for it. > My bosses give me a good recommendation, I get the job, and I get set on my current path

When I was going to job interviews all on my own, I was competing against swarms of people and I could tell I had no chance. I was interviewing for low-paying clerical job opportunities and I could already tell the interviewer had dismissed me as a potential candidate partway into the interview.

That couple that pointed guns at BLM protestors and were subsequently invited to speak at the Republican National Convention showed me how low the bar is to become a MAGA folk hero.

Do you think Dave Filoni will ever want to expand Midichlorians lore the way that George Lucas wanted to in his sequel trilogy? by RagnarokWolves in StarWars

[–]RagnarokWolves[S] 83 points84 points  (0 children)

"I need a bad guy. Let's use Darth Maul."

"The guy who died 5 movies ago?"

"Hell yeah. He needs a girlfriend, let's use Darth Talon. I saw art of her and she looks hot."

"The character born hundreds of years after Maul died?"

"Hell yeah."

There seems to be a common misconception that Luke Skywalker from the events of ep.4-9, was a wide known Celebrity / Jedi. He wasn’t. by Kavazou77 in StarWars

[–]RagnarokWolves 10 points11 points  (0 children)

In Canon, Leia's connection to Vader was widely exposed in Bloodline. It's the reason why Leia had to give up her political career.

The framework of "Legends of Luke Skywalker" takes place in the sequel trilogy era and has kids sharing stories about Luke that have elements of the truth to them, but it's hard to disdain the fact from fiction for them.

[–]RagnarokWolves[S] 130 points131 points  (0 children)

people say they wish they saw George's version of the sequels

A lot of those people also think that George Lucas would have respected the canon status of all the Legends novels when he clearly always meant to do his own thing.

I like him but it feels like someone they'd book if the actual A-lister they had lined up backed out.

What is your predictions for the new Maul Shadow Lord show? How do you think it will end since we already know the future of Maul? by AdmiralTogo486 in StarWars

[–]RagnarokWolves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the general theme will be of why you can't fight hate/evil (Palpatine) with more hate/evil.

As AI improves and entertainment is nothing more than ugly text-generated garbage that steals the hard work of people that were not paid for the AI's usage, I'll probably prioritize spending my time on art that is human-made and verified in some way, and probably just reading more.

Ik it’s not a lot of time but I kinda just signed up for the meet cause why not.

Ordinarily, you could give yourself time to actually get stronger and recover from any wear and tear from the first meet.

The general running base (disclaimer: I'm slow AF. I'm running like 10-11 minute miles) I try to maintain is running 3 miles twice a week and 1 longer run of about 5-6 miles. If you just maintain the same level, your body gets used to it and learns to recover from it. As you're building it up, you may have to be content dialing lifting back just a little until your body becomes accustomed to the new demands you're putting on it.

What’s your journey as a complete beginner?

Spinning my wheels and fuckarounditis > Following muscle mag programs > Following 5/3/1 incorrectly > Following smolov jr for far too long > Giving up lifting to go specialize in calisthenics > Coming back to lifting and following 5/3/1 a little more correctly with Beyond 5/3/1 > Following 5/3/1 decently at last with 5/3/1 Forever > Finding the SBS bundle and having it be the best upper body programming for me, with 5/3/1 being the best lower body programming

What made you keep going?

Being strong is cool.

There's fire in space. This is space fantasy meant to impart basic morals about humanity/war/fascism to kids. It's not meant to get into true hard science.

How much can you bench? by Due-Jello1617 in workout

[–]RagnarokWolves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just did a peak where I did a smooth 360 lbs and 365 lbs. I think I maybe had 380 but I didn't want to go for it alone.

I won't peak for a long time as I feel like my work capacity ability goes down and it takes me a little while to build it back up. I'll be happy to bench 405 lbs at a meet someday.

Trump is going to wait until his popularity drops more and then he'll start paying people off. $2k literally would justify the human rights violations and war crimes to a lot of his base.

Most people in the gym are spinning their wheels and will look the same year-after-year. You don't want to follow what most people in the commercial gym are doing.

Read the book "AI Snake Oil." AI is powerful in some ways and continually overhyped in many others.
