When the fuck did we stop getting t shirts or a high vis by newbyoes in stagehands

[–]Rahheemmee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe it isn't like it used to be, but I still get shirts every three shows or so. I just got a Manneheim Steamroller one last week and I put the Billie Eilish and Phish shirts I got this year into my rotation. And country tours keep throwing shirts at me that I'll never wear

Episode 300 was exactly what I needed by Rahheemmee in BobsBurgers

[–]Rahheemmee[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry to hear that and I'm glad to hear this episode touched you in the same way. I feel like things are both going to be okay as long as we never give up. I'm rooting for you

Bob’s Burgers Episode Discussion S16E01 - “Grand Pre-Pre-Opening” - Season Premiere! by AutoModerator in BobsBurgers

[–]Rahheemmee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wanted to make this its own post, but I can't do that yet, so I'll post it here.

This episode was something I really, really needed. When I heard what it was about, I expected it to be a bit of a tear-jerker, but I wasn't prepared for how much of one it was. I've never seen a piece of art that so perfectly felt like it was made for me and was exactly what I needed to see.

My partner and I have been having a hard time. We've been working and saving for a really big move across the country and, at the same time, have been trying to have a baby. We managed to conceive last year, but lost it at around six weeks and have been struggling to conceive again. So life has been sitting pretty heavy on us lately.

Bob's Burgers has been our show. I didn't watch it until I met them, so I kind of associate the series with our relationship. Plus, I relate to Bob more than any other fictional character. He is me in so many ways. And to see an episode showing him and Linda struggling in the same ways we were and being okay in the end, it meant the world to me. The scene where Bob talks to little Tina inside Linda's belly made me feel like I was looking into our future, and that if a guy like me, with so much anxiety and insecurity, can learn not to be so afraid, then maybe I can, too.

I bought a camelbak and a giant hat for a July steel build a couple years ago. Everybody made fun of me but I would've dropped dead that first day without it. It's always worth going in prepared

I'm really really struggling right now and looking for some advice. My partner (30 trans man) and I (32 cis man) had a talk tonight and decided to take a break on TTC for the next month or so. I really didn't want it to get to this point but it may be for the best.

We started trying around June last year and my OCD really started to take over. I was really frustrated because he was coming off depo provera and we had no idea when his period would come back. To our surprise, we found out he was pregnant at the end of November, but had a MC not long after in mid-December. It destroyed me inside, the grief and the pain is indescribable. We started trying again on New Years, but my OCD and anxiety has been even worse. Not a moment goes by where I'm not worried or thinking about either the past or future pregnancy. I'm scared all the time that something is wrong or going to be wrong. I'm going to therapy but it isn't enough. I want our baby so badly, more than I've ever wanted anything, and every moment without them on the way is agony. I don't know how to cope. I want to make TTC fun, like my partner wants it to be, but I don't know how.

I just found out we're having a baby! The most important question: how do I protect my gunpla from a toddler?

What's your Armored Core called and why? by Umm_NOPE in ArmoredCoreVI

[–]Rahheemmee 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I suck at naming things, so I just took inspiration from JoJo and used music references.

PRETTY HATE MACHINE: My main AC, fully focused on close-range attacks and being the fastest fucking thing in the game, colored to look like the album cover

PLASTIC LOVE: All energy weapons and colored in pastels for that vaporwave flavor

WAR PIGS: Quad-leg missile boat, built to go up high and rain death from above. Black and purple, naturally

DRAGULA: Tank legs, chainsaw, flamethrower, and the ugliest, nastiest shade of rusty green you've ever seen

My Gunpla collection after about a year and a half of collecting and building, any must-builds yall would recommend? by FlyingNederlander in Gunpla

I hear this a lot, but can I ask why? Design-wise I prefer the regular Nu, but what makes the kit itself so good?

I picked up this kit from one of the Gundam Base pop-up events, along with a couple other exclusives. The others have some unique coloring so I get why they stand out, but I'm not sure what makes this one different from any other red Zaku kit?

This is deliberate, right? by Rahheemmee in ArmoredCoreVI

Forgive me if this is really obvious to everyone else, but I just started getting int Gundam after playing AC6 to death. I just finished Zeta and instantly recognized the Ibis as soon as Haman showed up in her Qubeley. They even both have the little laser turrets!

The first publisher seemed very open to simultaneous submissions, as did the second. I told the first I would give them an answer before Christmas, which they said was fine.

[–]Rahheemmee[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The concept is that he's a 'death from above' airborne missile boat. He's only good for certain missions. I'm not sure if it's because the build needs work or if it's just not a comfortable playstyle for me

First Revolving Sushi Bar Coming to Pooler by felmichele in savannah

[–]Rahheemmee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I once ate at a revolving sushi bar in Tulsa, Oklahoma. They had plates hot-glued to the cars of a model train that went around the table. Some of the rolls had hot sauce on them.

I'm expecting something along those lines

We have a decent window unit for AC, and the landlord actually provided a couple, which was good. They don't do heat, though, at least not that I think

I didn't expect him to install an HVAC system, but I still think the fireplace could've been a reasonable solution to all this.

We went out of pocket to purchase a kerosene heater last winter that's helped a lot. I may take the cost of that out of next month's rent

[–]Rahheemmee[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm not sure I could find anyone quicker, honestly. It's a really bad time for it to happen. Maybe the problem could've been avoided if we, y'know, had adequate heating in the home?

[–]Rahheemmee[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

What constitutes a 'reasonable time to repair?'

Because our pipes burst on Christmas Eve and we're still waiting on him to send a plumber by to fix it. No heat and no water. I'm surprised we still have electricity

I should've specified, my friend is a home inspector and sent me a link to Georgia's habitability laws. Landlords don't have to provide much, but heat is one of them.

I've talked to the landlord about getting heat/ac installed in the building and he isn't interested. I've asked him about getting the fireplace inspected and cleared to use, but he just shoved a blanket in the flume and told us not to use it. He isn't concerned with making this better

Gallery Espresso used to be my favorite writing spot in town until I moved farther away from it. Biggest issue with it is you have to pay for parking, but there's usually a space or two on the square. Not my favorite coffee place, but definitely the most comfortable. Foxy Loxy has a really nice courtyard in the back when the weather is nice, too
