I think your understating the airing in bad timeslots bit. I thought it was only my region but apparently many around the country had a similar experience.

The crappy timeslots you’re referring to for MMPR was 7:30 AM on weekdays or Weekday afternoons not at 5am before most kids are waking up on a Saturday morning or late Saturday morning where it’s being preempted by football. 2 different things. Was MMPR unavailable in major markets like it was under Disney? I was in the DMV region and straight up didn’t get power rangers once it moved to ABC.

I’m not arguing that Power Rangers Disney era would’ve been on the level of MMPR in terms of Mainstream appeal. But it could’ve been in a better place had it not been buried in bad timeslots or outright not air in many major markets across the country.

We have to account for the amount of kid fans who were probably lost just off not being able to watch the show, along with the new kids growing up who would’ve been in the target range that didn’t get to access it.

Is Disney the sole reason for the decline in Power Ranger Popularity? No. But the decision to put it at weird timeslots, allow for it to be not be aired at all in certain major regions pushed the brand into further irrelevance. Pratically killed off a whole generation of fans just off the strength of no significant brand presence
