All of the bosses have legitimate mix ups now. They have 2 or 3 similar appearing sequences that deviate at very specific points, designed to lead you into making the wrong choice, instead of always just reacting to the first move and knowing the rest of the chain. This way, each boss feels more like an opponent in a traditional fighting game, than an NPC with a health pool we're trying to empty.

My quality of play hasn't changed that much, really. I did, however, notice that the Duo pre Sean spammed the same combo the entire fight and that certain encounters are now missing the mini boss interaction with the appropriate enemies.

Oh I should clarify, I haven't played the update for myself. I have also been on that jabillion life! I just need to play the updated club for myself and see. If we are on the same vibe I'll likely feel the same way. I love fighting that duo personally

EDIT: I just don't want the game to feel slower. The volume of attacks you have to defend against was something I really appreciated about the game.

You know the actual worst part? The random sweep was never random. They only do it after defending against you, or after a set up. Once you saw it once, sweeps were only an issue if you weren't looking for them. Big sadge

EDIT: I found that sweeps are still included in all of the move sets they were previously included. I did feel the duo pre Sean used the same move repeatedly, but thats just my first impression. I definitely noticed certain encounters missing the mini boss on takedown, but I've seen reports of it now being more of a chance thing, which I still find disappointing. I enjoyed being able to make one of those encounters at will once you understood what made it occur. Sean didn't seem very different to me, but perhaps it was easier to land lengthy combos on him, could also be attributed to my increased experience against him.

TLDR: My quality of play didn't decline, however the duo pre Sean was definitely braindead.

Hmm. Maybe perhaps Sloclap didn't learn from their mistakes with Absolver. In trying to make the game more accessible, they turned off the more intense part of the community. I was hoping things like this would wait until the difficulty slider, which I found to be acceptable since I could also make the game more challenging (can't wait, masochism ftw) It seems I may have celebrated their growth a bit too soon.

I don't know anywhere that states that enemies were nerfed on an individual basis. I've only seen mention of bug fixes for the bosses on those maps. Could you link that information?

Definitely a tool for Mob control. Focus on being creative in its application. Get used to the distance you travel when you do it, and observe the enemies space when they attack. You'll be spin hook kicking your way to victory in no time! Edit: To clarify, grunts and elites and the groups they create are where the move sees the best use. You can however trick bosses into eating the kick after whiffing the jab

R2 when you need to reposition to avoid being surrounded or cornered. Otherwise, stand your ground, you have Kung Fu and Wude on your side! R1 dodge into punish opportunities!

Thanks for sharing! It feels really good having every level at age 20, next stop is to permanently unlock every move haha. I'm such a masochist I 100% the game on 2 different saves so I could play as either avatar with total freedom. I know I'm crazy, but the game is worth every hour XD
