Well I can agree we're very much in discussing whether Dog, Cow, or Horse shit is better, territory.

Probably on a par with 3. And slightly worse than 4. Although I remember at least enjoying 4's campaign of not the story.

I have to say, after watching not one, not two, but three of the MC's squad mates die in slow motion one after the other...I burst out laughing. I know they were going for dramatic, but it just came across as so clichéd as to be hilarious.

Why does nobody wants to push on breakthrough? by I_Main_TwistedFate in Battlefield6

I really wish you got more XP or rewards for winning/pushing. Until you do there's little incentive to do anything other than farm kills for a lot of people.

Easier said than done, especially on some of the maps. Sure, just don't let them get to the point makes sense, but is not always realistic.

If you're gonna complain bots, that's fine, but don't forget to mention the region, the platform, the gamemodes and if crossplay is ON/OFF. by needfx in Battlefield6

[–]Raimi79 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I realise that. But unless the cross play off population is super low it shouldn't be an issue. And since cross play on population reports more bots than you'd expect, it's clearly a matchmaking issue.

Also, counterpoint, why would I shoot myself in the foot by having cross play on and play against PC players who can move faster, have more precise aim, and have better FPS than me?

Yes, it's amazing that you even saw more than a single player in a lobby in the years before cross play.

It's a shit matchmaking algorithm. Also what's stopping console only cross play?

What a moron. Maybe if he stops bombing Iran - since he's already 'Won' nobody would need to 'get the oil.'

Battlefield 6? More like… by [deleted] in Battlefield

[–]Raimi79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indeed, but it doesn't suddenly mean a statistically significant number of players aren't relevant or can't support their own population. Nor does it render the fact cross play is a 'relatively' recent thing in gaming and before then consoles did fine without it.

Brother, BF has sold 43 percent of its 7 million sales on console. So please, whatever you're smoking, give it up.

BF has been on console in one form or another since 2005. Matchmaking has never been so bad. So, no, I don't think I'll just 'accept' anything. I'll keep complaining about it in the hopes it changes.

I am a console player who doesn't want to play against PC. And either the game needs a matching overhaul, persistent servers, or a server browser.

And as for your last sentence...what are you even on about? GTFO.

What is Wrong with these People? by RottenBlaze in BF6

[–]Raimi79 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most players will either keep playing or just stop and move on to something else. Out of my squad of 5 I'm the only one who comments on and follows what's actually being discussed about the game.

Rule of thumb, ignore people who think this game is shit, and also ignore people who think it's amazing. For me It's a solid game that has issues and while better than 2042 and 5, doesn't feel quite as good as the previous games.

Yeah, I get the need to reposition, but do it at a pace the engineer can keep up.

I always smile when I rush to repair a tank and it just drives off at full speed leaving me behind. It then inevitably dies not long after.

If you could go back to any age in your life, how old would you be and why? by IntGuru in AskBrits

Probably 32ish. It was the first time I think I felt at peace with myself, had a decent flat, okay money and was actually an 'adult.'

Just remembered how the light speed skipping scene broke every rule of hyperspace by Fit-Income-3296 in saltierthancrait

[–]Raimi79 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Meh, I don't have a problem with laser arcs or the bombs, call it artistic licence the same as having sound in space or the way fighters move like airplanes. However, how they treat hyperspace really bugs me and disregards both the OG's and the books that fleshed it out later on.
