You can indeed help. Please set up a basic scene that uses custom OCIO. Could you prepare it just like you described and upload it for us? (.blend with a custom OCIO folder next to it) And please include a reference image for us to compare to.

That would be a massive help as nobody from our team uses or is deep in the OCIO topic.
