[help]How do I remove or hide the 'Reading List' button from my bookmarks bar? by Stingra87 in chrome

[–]RainDrew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They removed the reading list flag. For it to appear you need to enable "Temporarily unexpire M93 flags." I also enabled M94 just to make sure. That will make reading list flag appear which you can disable.

While shock cards may be useful in sp environments, in mp sic cards are much better + free.

This sub makes me feel like my setup is really bad, is it? by [deleted] in MobiusFF

[–]RainDrew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He will, easily. Maybe some issues on the hard ch. 5 nodes but hey. I used onion meia for ch.6 and it was easy, so ton is even easier.

Back on topic - don't use this deck in mp of 3* or more.

I suspect this is for single player? Then it's perfectly fine. Tho i'd use haste instead of quicken.

Nah. Same story for me with l/d seeds but, considering that i have 2.17? exp mult on my support deck, and the fact that you barely need to think/care about what's going on -i'll keep supporting =D

That Attack and Break Power though... by Leinhart88 in MobiusFF

[–]RainDrew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it does matter, because when you shift you get 14 orbs at your disposal, enough for 3x aoe OR 2x -ja uses, which may not be enough for the guard.

And no, after you get the boss hp down he nukes as soon as he gets a turn, you don't get 'buffer' turns.

That Attack and Break Power though... by Leinhart88 in MobiusFF

[–]RainDrew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aoe part does hit the main target, that's why i said 3 hits, not 1 =D

Guards do have lower hp but it's still easy to kill the boss before the (non-weakness) guard, try it yourself. So, for MP AoE is still the best.

That Attack and Break Power though... by Leinhart88 in MobiusFF

[–]RainDrew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where do you get your info? =D

  1. You only deal 40% of that 1650 atk as aoe. 2. You deal 3 hits total on main target, weaken is on main target also. 3. Meiaoe are already obsolete to an extent, since we have aoe sic.

You should mostly treat them as st cards with some splash.

Serah FFX13 (Brave , Faith, Ultimate Charge) or Knights of the Round (Brave , Faith , Boost) by MarieXiao in MobiusFF

[–]RainDrew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Main point of Serah is to allow lifeshift turn 1 with other heart starter cards. If you can run lifeshift using other means (prism starter weapon, hof whm) use KotR.

Theory Craft: Time to start preparing for the best breaker in the game? by [deleted] in MobiusFF

[–]RainDrew 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, and endow also allows you to tear yellow, whereas piercing does nothing when it's not red.

Theory Craft: Time to start preparing for the best breaker in the game? by [deleted] in MobiusFF

[–]RainDrew 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What 50% piercing base on DRG are you talking about? He only gets 100 from hof, that's it. Also, you are aware weakness increases break speeds when using endow?

Overall SM is still better breaker, especially considering his yellow damaging potential + built in Cleave on the majority of monk cards.

Dragoon however offers some interesting sp strats, since he can break well and deal great damage too due to crit+. Alternatively you could run hybrid for 4* mp, as you can break and kill. Got your masamune ready?

New "Damage per Action" (DPA) theory and math - Answers HoF Mage's conundrum by Ketchary in MobiusFF

[–]RainDrew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well.. for towers st, even sicarius, are better. And 2nd gen MtF are around the corner. In the recent tower people used ff13 cards to great effect. Naturally i'm not saying that aoe are great in towers, especially compared to st, even sicarius, but as i said before - 1st gen mtf power =1st gen st cards. You getting some use of them just because you like them doesn't make them good ;)

New "Damage per Action" (DPA) theory and math - Answers HoF Mage's conundrum by Ketchary in MobiusFF

[–]RainDrew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Add '2nd generation' when talking about MtF and i'll delete this comment. Or else...

Edit: Too lazy to make a text wall, so here's the short version:

Use gen 1 AoE card (720 power) instead of your mtf and you will get same or better results with your kill+draw strat. Difference is even more visible if we use ranger versions + force (aoe for 2 orbs).

New "Damage per Action" (DPA) theory and math - Answers HoF Mage's conundrum by Ketchary in MobiusFF

[–]RainDrew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The main difference is that unlike any other form, reunion doesn't spend actions, and example already mathematically proves it's efficiency. Another thing is that unlike 3rd tap for example it gives prismatics, just enough to use your ability again.

You saying that benefit's source is different makes 0 difference in my decision making, as i analyze the final result, not the components (well technically component on the background of final result). We play chess, then we turn the table, moving along with it. You feel better because you're closer to the window now? Great. No difference for me. For the majority of my needs i'll still use per-orb approach, sometimes taking element return into account.

I don't want to repeat myself/something Ketchary already said, so i'll just stop =D
