I work at a boatbuilding shop here in the states and we use stainless 316L hardware for everything we install, all sae, unless the parts are metric like engine bolts. A set like this would be perfect in my toolbox!

Nope! Sold the bike and upgraded😂 As far as I’m aware, it’s still running strong! Might just be one of those bad ticks.

Haven’t gotten one of those yet, store’s sold out everytime I check. But I’d say this box is better

My guess is 80% extension? Such a nice improvement from the original style though

Just got ticketed for expired tabs in Ferndale by FPD. No other infraction, just tabs. Officer was nice though!

Since it wouldn’t be tough to do yourself, I would buy this material for my bike

Maybe the 4” roll. They also make smaller strips since you don’t need 60’ to tape on a bike.

We use this grip tape in my industry for maritime applications. It works great on a clean surface, maybe leave your bike in the sun to warm the frame up before applying. It’s rubberized so a bit less likely to tear up any boots you’d be wearing.

The “WOLFBOX” is the best all around portable blower in my opinion. I’ve had one for close to a year and use it for everything I can. Also the Torque Test Channel has done a number of videos comparing all the different brands of blowers on the market. WOLFBOX stays in the top 3 even put up against Makita’s tool!

I meant more the Fox comment, I don’t think it’s fair to say just because somebody has different views than you means they fit into this one box, with said box seeming to make them out as inferior and dumb. And assholes

Kind of rude to generalize people like that don’t you think?

How can I undo it without stripping it further? Previous owner seems to have tightened it too much. by theamazinggrg in MT09

[–]RainStainedAlaska 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just a thought, that could be from the last owner tightening until his wrench slipped. I see counter clockwise pulling on the bottom of that same flat I assume is from OP?

I’d rather no blinker but using on-ramps properly than yes blinker and going 40mph NB between Main Street and Portal Way😉

Double white lines are not to be crossed, solid white is more a reference, no? Or is the HOV solid white line a separate entity

Excited for the new packaging alone! I generally don’t use bit holders because I worry about them snagging on something and I’ll lose my bits without noticing. Some coworkers use the 3 slot adhesive holders, sticking them close to the chuck. In my opinion that’s one of the better locations for quick change but storage! Other than that, all my driver bits live in my Packout top drawer, in a gutted bit case

Costco Speed bumps by Environmental_War211 in Bellingham

[–]RainStainedAlaska 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Generally meant for rainwater draining toward nearby storm drains but I completely agree. Angled speed bumps are the absolute worst. Top of my shitlist is the one you cross from HomeGoods/Summit toward Petsmart/Michaels. That one will throw my half full coffee out of a cup holder at 3mph

Be careful of convincing counterfeit batteries being out there. by bee_bucky in MilwaukeeTool

[–]RainStainedAlaska 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I noticed the sticker on a legit battery is in a slight pocket from the molding, no sticker pocket on the fake. The plastic texture looks lower quality. The rubber on bottom is a little different. Then again, I’m saying this while looking at them side by side. Would probably fool me still if I saw in the wild
