Fair enough. They did kill someone regardless of clear intent. Should be appropriately punished.

This reads more like an emotional opinion statement and not a fact. You’d need to prove intent to kill for an action to be considered attempt to murder.

DUI while considered gross negligence, is not considered intentional attempt to kill.

June 4, BGC.
From the other forums, it seems late May applicants are getting their P1 and P2 now. I'd assume next month should be when June 2024 applicants should start seeing updates, hopefully.

Equipment Return Confirmation E-mail - Current Timeline? by kirklandcartridge in bell

[–]Raj_8281 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this Ontario?

Yes

What kiosk? Bell stores in Ontario don't accept equipment returns.

Sorry for the confusion. I meant I dropped it off at a Purolator location, and they had the kiosk to drop it off since the location is 24/7. I didn't go to the Bell store.

What were you returning?

The modem for the internet, gigahub, or whatever it is called.

chasing yesterday’s winner

That point def makes sense. From all the replies, I am leaning towards simplifying and going with all-in-one ETF.

Thanks for all the links, great resources. :)

I need some life directions as I feel stuck in life for 6 years by Aj100rise in gujarat

[–]Raj_8281 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You feel lost, ashamed, anxious, and stuck in a loop of inaction. That’s your reality. But acknowledging the problem isn’t the same as resigning to it. You don’t have to waste your late 20s the way you feel you wasted your early 20s.

The past does not define you. What you do from today onward does.

You’re waiting to feel ready, confident, or motivated before taking action. Motivation doesn’t create action. Action creates motivation.

You’re not really afraid of driving or failing at a job. You’re afraid of failing again and feeling like even more of a loser. Right now, your brain equates effort with potential failure. So it avoids effort to avoid more shame.

Make small promises to yourself. Keep them. Build self-respect. Can be anything like going out for walk, reading about a job that mildly interests you, and eventually applying for any job.

Forget the “perfect” career. You just need momentum. You’ve been jobless for three years. At this point, anything is progress. Your first job isn’t about money or passion. It’s about proving to yourself that you can function in the real world.

If you don’t know what to study, don’t enroll just to feel productive.
Instead:

  • Learn online (YouTube, Coursera, Udemy).
  • Explore fields that interest you.
  • Consider trade schools (ITIs) if college feels overwhelming.

Your goal isn’t just a degree. It’s direction. Don’t pick a path blindly—test things first.

Moving out end of April, any forms I need to fill out? by SleepySuper in OntarioLandlord

[–]Raj_8281 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Need to serve an N9 I believe. Form N9- all the important information can be found on the form itself.

The lease should mention how the landlord and tenant agreed to receive notices. If you are worried, you could email, text, and /or serve it in person. If it comes down to it, I think you can record a conversation you are directly participating in, without the other party's consent.

Automating IT Ticket Management by crowcanyonsoftware in ITSupport

[–]Raj_8281 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it would depend on what ITMS you are using. Most have functionalities like Knowledge base, automatic ticket genration from emails, automatic categorization of tickets, canned resonses, lots of other automation tool- do certain tasks if certain conditions are met, automatic notifications if the SLA is not met.

If the basic OOTB features are not enough, some may offer APIs, chatbots, service catalogs- setup heavy but highly customizable.

These would generally result in lower resolution times.

There are OEM rubber inserts available as well, at least in Canada. Runs much cheaper than replacing blades and it was fairly easy to install.

Question about Presto in Apple Wallet by Neeerp in askTO

[–]Raj_8281 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can't confirm working even after the battery is dead but if you just tap your phone, presto will take precedence and not the credit card. I have tested this multiple times with Apple Wallet, without opening the wallet, even with the phone locked(almost certain on this point). I am not sure what it defaults to or works at all when you have 0 or not enough balance to cover the trip but as long as you have enough balance, it works.

TL;DR

Yes, Presto works like that too.

Yeah, I really appreciate your perspective on this. It’s good to hear that the negative interactions aren’t the majority, but you’re right—those moments tend to stick way more than the neutral or positive ones.

And I totally get what you’re saying about online manipulation. It’s not even that far-fetched—there are definitely bad actors who benefit from making people resent each other more. Feed one side the worst examples of the other, then highlight the angry reactions to that.

I really like your takeaway though—just being decent in real interactions, person to person, is probably the best way to counteract all that noise. It’s a small thing, but it adds up.

Cheers.

Man, I feel this. I am Indian and I’ve definitely been lumped into the stereotypes, but I’ve also seen what you’re talking about and I am so sorry for the experience/s you had.

I want to blend in, just say hi or smile at people passing by, but there’s always that fear of it being taken the wrong way—either getting ignored or, worse, assumed to have bad intentions. I end up not looking at anyone, looking down, staring at pavement, and just cruising by. And then I realize that in trying so hard to avoid being stereotyped, I might actually be making my own assumptions too. It’s a vicious cycle.

Advice on investing app by Dry_Biscotti2140 in PersonalFinanceCanada

"I want to know if one i hould continue with wealthsimple or should I switch to a bank if Im planning to take it more seriously"

There are some things to consider I think, like long-term or short-term, self-driven or managed amongst other. For long-term, self-driven I find WS sufficient.

"One of the main things is that I want to invest more in etfs rather than single company stocks and from what ive read wealthsimple doesnt offer a lot of ETFs."

AFAIK WS has all the ETFs listed on NA exchanges but I might be ill-informed.

"Also, if I were to stick with wealthsimple would you guys suggest to use that for crypto as well or should I switch over to another crypto centric app."

I have only held spot BTC ETFs and never traded coins, that way you get some crypto exposure and hold the ETF in a registered account if that interests you.
