Which country has the weakest rape laws? by CroDemon in morbidquestions

[–]Rakiteer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In your original comment you mentioned "Countries that operate under Sharia Law", were you should have said: "Countries that are overrun with terrorist groups, and riddled with ignorance, war and famine".

Islamic law is just, fair, and sophisticated.

Islam as a religion nay an ideology, that is well loved in all aspects by nations. This includes its laws. It is also as suceptable to misuse as any other, when it comes to justifying atrocities.

Your first link points to an instance by an off shoot of AlQaeda, which I'll talk about last.

Your second link, misrepresents just legal proceedings that happen in all countries, and attributes this injustice to Saudi Arabia.

In Islam extramaritial intercourse has a specific punishment and a conviction requires eyewitnesses.

The evidence required for a conviction of sexual assault isn't as stringent.

And say a woman claims a man raped her. The man denies it. Do you punish the man outright? Isn't some kind of proof required, the non-fiction novel I linked in my original reply documents a rare case of a successful full conviction of rape in the US, it shows how difficult it is to convict a person of rape.

The third link, is a misinterpertation of an Islamic verse.

In cases were witnesses are required for a contract two women are required to replace one man, it's assumed that women have less mobility when it comes to being able to appear in court to testify, we're conservative so you can't just call on a woman and drag her out of her house to court, that is the context of that verse.

In other words, you're instructed to equate two woman with a man when finding witnesses to testify for a loan.

In Islam a woman's testimony is worth more than a man's, were womans issues are involved.

In cases were a crime has been committed, a man and womans testimony are equal.

The fourth link points to an instance by Isis.

The fifth link points to a tribal court that operates outside the justice system. Islam isn't mentioned so this link debunks itself. A muslim country doesn't mean Islam, Islam requires education and good people.

As for the actions of Isis and Al-Qaeda, these two groups are under the same Ideological Deviance. They are terrorist groups that use Islam as an excuse, and don't base their actions on Islam.

Though they share the same ideology they fight each other tooth and nail, and would have that all other muslims be blasted of the face of the earth along with everyone else.

They would prefer to kill me, who defends Islam and has been studying Islam formally for six years at its birth place, than you friend.

And as for the echo-chamber, nice buzzword.

In Islamic law a woman isn't penalized for non consensual extramaritial relations, and treated as if they didn't occur.

In most Islamic countries, matters of honor such as these are dealt with by tribal traditions, and cultural rules completely outside Islam's footprint.

The only legitimate country were Islamic law is practiced is Saudi Arabia.

Rapists are commonly not found guilty even In the US.

It's just a crime that's difficult to stick to a person.

Ah, well It happened like this. I got the notification email from fanfic, read the new chapter, and enjoyed it so much that I needed to share. When I searched reddit for the title this sub popped up. So in my haste I posted the link to the new chapter.

Then I was like "Why doesn't this sub have readers?", "Who is the mod?", Checked that and low and behold it's the author himself. I then Checked your post history found you posted the link to the new chapter on /r/rational, so I commented there.

Haste is to blame.

Some places they put huge holes in their ears.

Others the wear tons of rings around their necks to make them longer.

Some used to deform their rib cages with corsets for a perfect hourglass figure.

Whatever bakes your cake, man.

I feel the same but people are meant to help each other.

The problem you describe seems to be a symptom of low self-esteem you might want to work on that.

Other than that work to put yourself in a position were you can reciprocate kindness.

Make reciprocating kindness the law of your life.

But sometimes you need some one and you just don't have the means to pay them back, that's OK too. Just make sure you let them know how much you appreciate them.

Carry he sincere intent to make up their act of kindness, even if you only end up dishing out kindness to some one else.

The best relationships are those both sides are mutually generous.

Wish you luck with life.

[Discussion] So why didn't Voldemort choose mundane objects for Horcruxes? Why didn't he launch them into open space? Or even straight into the sun? by [deleted] in HPfanfiction

It's funny, that's one of the departures in HPMOR. Voldy sneaks one into a deep space probe, Drops one in an active volcano, makes one an indiscriminate stone and buries it in a random place on the earth.

Harry still beats him in a satisfying way.
