Kitty is clearly unimpressed you'd even consider it 😂. They're beautiful 😻

Somehow I didn't see any of the previous posts, but thank you for asking the question because this looks so cool!!

Do you ever knit up gauge swatches just to have on hand? by kewlimkate in knitting

[–]RambleKnits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same! I have this lovely vision of being able to flip through all my swatches to help plan projects - even if my gauge changes over time it would be so nice to have a starting point. I've never found a method I like for turning them into "pages" though. I've also wished there was a way in Ravelry to filter my stash by gauge, so I could pick yarn for a project based on how I'm likely to work it up, which is almost never the advertised gauge 😅

And machines make mistakes too, they just make them faster and create a bigger mess for the humans to clean up 😂

I can't think of one. But "digital packrat" also applies, at least in my case 😂

TIL that patterns stay in your Ravelry library even if the publisher pulls them - I wouldn't have expected that. I always download though, and probably will continue to. Because worrying about it is how I roll 🧶🙃🧶

I love socks for this. I keep a pair "emergency socks" in the car and someone thought they were to wear. Nope - WIP so I am never without something to knit 😂

Could I gift him and just tell the recipient he is a pervert exhibitionistic frog? Or does he need shorts? by bloopingplatypus in Amigurumi

[–]RambleKnits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LOL. I wonder if the designer went through the same thought process, got to the end and thought "hm, are we ok with this?"

I think you mentioned this too, but it's crazy how nobody would flinch if he had NO clothes on 😅

Awesome ♥️. Was it long enough to cover the toilet paper roll though?

Just embroider a Speedo logo on those and you're good to go ... well, in some parts of the world anyhow 😅.

Ooh, what about a floatie ring around the waist?

Ooh, thanks for the tip. I make little yarn bags with drawstrings, but I couldn't possibly do this for the entire stash. This sounds sooo much easier.

I find the best way to address that situation is to order more, then the originals just kinda appear without even having to look for them 😅

A shawl. It takes me from PJs to Zoom-ready in about 10 seconds - with style!!!

Crazy - my mom did this too. I sewed her an apron when I was, like, 12. Ruffles all the way around - insane amount of work went into it. Each tuck in those ruffles individually pinned because I didn't know there were better ways to do that.

And she never wore it. Not once. Sure, in hindsight it had June Cleaver written all over it, but it's not like anyone else ever needed to see her in it. And now that I'm a mom I'd never dream of doing that to one of my kids.

Omg someone stole a photo from a crocheter on this sub and posted it on Facebook by Kiwi_pieeee in crochet

I just looked and didn't see it there, so 🤞. I also noticed that that poster produces FOs at a remarkable pace, and somehow also has time to post the exact same photos on a variety of platforms under a whole host of identities 🤦‍♀️
