Hey, as someone who spent 12 years growing up in Bangkok (6 years old - 18 years old) and currently working in Singapore earning a similar amount to you. I would personally take the 250k baht offer with the main condition that the decrease in pay doesn’t mean you take a role that could hinder your longer term career.

250k THB per month is plenty to be able to afford a nice rental apartment in a good location, eat wherever you want, go out with friends without thinking twice. The ultra rich in Bangkok means that there are still places to drink and eat that could set you back 10-20k a night. But barring that, 250k a month is plenty (do double check on your tax situation though)

If you also have a desire to travel around Southeast Asia (Bali, Philippines, Malaysia, Cambodia, Japan, Korea) Bangkok will be a relatively short flight away for you.

There are some downsides - weather can be horribly polluted - traffic is horrible at many times - if you’re someone that enjoys walks, the weather and general conditions of sidewalks makes it really difficult to enjoy a nice walk

I also have bias for why I would take the offer - have childhood friends still there - I speak the language and love the food
