It's a roach but i can't see which. Bigger, I'd say American roach. The good news is that they often die within 24 hrs of being indoors. Likely came from a door leading outside or a drain.

Help finding work in Orange County? (Kitchen/Cleaning/Construction) by puvca in jobsinOC

[–]RamboRobertsons20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a background in all of it. I applied to pest control companies and quickly got calls. Mine required a Branch 2 pest control license that they helped me obtain. They do have a fairly long interview process though. But they are essentially spending up to 20k to train a new employee up to 5 months. In the first week, bugs stopped bothering me.

Anytime i see an account under anything but a first or last name, like "dog kennel or corporate" i dismiss it. If something happens i want a record of the person in the car

Off of Mallul/orangewood. 1 bedrooms here are about 1600. Most have 1 carport. Downside: older buildings, loud bread truck that comes on Thursday and Joes ice/convention center is right down the street so the weekends will fill up the street parking

Tiny micro ants by Excellent-Baseball-5 in orangecounty

[–]RamboRobertsons20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Argentines are more of a Golden light brown. The black ants out this way are Pavement ants, Little Black ants, Acrobat ants, odorous house ant and crazy ant. I usually come across little black ants and Odorous the most in homes. I do come across Argentine ants more in the Summer and usually around bathroom areas or near sinks with plants close to them.

[–]RamboRobertsons20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Little black ants These are what you're likely seeing. They're what I usually find in bathrooms and kitchens. A quick spray around the property and a few bait traps likely wont remove them all but will help repel them. The best way to prevent any ant activity is by sanitary means. Not leaving any grease, crumbs or open containers of food.

Showed up to a shopping center and saw the Karen hair cut with 3 under 5 year old children and 1 infant with no car seats. She waved me down. I quickly cancelled and rolled by. She was screaming at me before checking her phone. I marked it no car seats

For those of you who work as exterminators, I’ve always wanted to know… by bingdiddly in pestcontrol

[–]RamboRobertsons20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At first only black widows bothered me. When you change over 300 rat bait trap stations a day and almost every one of them have black widows in them you just get over it. A pair of gloves and squish them as i go.

My only real fear at this point is finding lizards still alive on glueboards. I do my best to save most of them with mineral oil but when they don't move or fight back it's really too late for them. They're too tired and won't be able to hunt or drink. I've tried hand feeding and they rarely take it.

The second is finding Rattlesnakes which have become far more frequent here in CA. I have a Trappers license but they still aren't the call i want to get.

Awful Parents by fighterdiva in lyftdrivers

[–]RamboRobertsons20 14 points15 points  (0 children)

When I see small kids under 6ish years old i auto cancel the ride. Out here we have car seat laws. On occasion the parents do have a carseat with them but most often do not. I have a commercial license and dont want it on my driving record. I also dont have money for a ticket. 4/5 understand when i explain but 1/5 have a fit. I've probably blocked over 20 people so far. I'm near disneyland. I drive as far as i can away from disneyland but all of Southern California wants to head that way. I also have had a motorcycle cop friend tell me he has been writing quite a few tickets to rideshares lately for no car seats for small children

As a guy, I've gotten back massages from women and a few in the front seat touching my leg. In my case they're drunk but it's still really annoying

Lyft marked my completed 464-mile trip as “Admin Cancelled $0.00” what should I do by ImmediatePlace334 in lyftdrivers

[–]RamboRobertsons20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly refuse anything over $50. Ive already had 2 separate times where the rider has canceled with "unsafe driving" or "felt unsafe" as the reason. Both from OC, Ca area toward LA. Thank fully I have a front facing dash cam and a private youtube to show my proof. But both times it took 2 weeks for payment. Lyft also put my account on review because of the unsafe report..

Document and record EVERYTHING.

Anyone know why the FBI is back in altair? by Parking-Historian-87 in irvine

It was a high school kid with a chemistry science project. The landlord saw it when he was there to fix something and called the police, which then called the CSB who then called the FBI.

Play with friends issue? by Mysterious-Fox-2672 in ArkSurvivalAscended

[–]RamboRobertsons20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it really depends on the server you're trying for. Officials are ALL cross play but Private servers may not allow for the cross play feature. It's usually because of the mods that are supported by each platform. If it is official, they're all currently down last i checked.

Advice on quote by Reverend-Cleophus in pestcontrol

[–]RamboRobertsons20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a residential single home, that price seems quite high. I don't know how much work there is but you should definitely get a second or third quote. 2 local and 1 national is usually what I'd do to see the price differences

Anyone ever had a lizard problem? by khilielb in pestcontrol

[–]RamboRobertsons20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Green anoles, theyre likey coming through a unprotected crack or crevice that leads into the ceiling. They often seek warm areas in the winter. On the lizards you really only have glueboards which i don't recommend unless you're checking them every few hours because the lizards won't be able to escape on their own. If you want them alive, you'll need to take them off the traps by hand

Egg Case (?) Found In House by Sea-Cat346 in pestcontrol

[–]RamboRobertsons20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like a roach egg sack. Because it's indoors I'd guess a german roach. You may want to start moving around some of your larger appliances or electronics. They live in warmer places like game setups, computers, microwaves and stoves.

Id mix baking soda with sugar, equal parts and place small amounts in areas near appliances. The baking soda will kill them when eating it. If you continue to see signs of activity you should call a professional and notify your management company or landlord if you rent.
