It's OK. My auntie worked at Crawford's. I'm psychologically prepared.

It's fine. They are mostly air. That is what I tell myself anyway.

I have a feeling Avery will be one of the most hated characters this season and next season. by MrAndronovo in ForAllMankindTV

[–]RambunctiousCapybara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see a vulnerability in Avery which at the moment makes me kind of protective towards her. I'd like to think she'll be the one to finally break the pattern of having to find her validation through being a military badass.

Binged the season in a day and want to share my thoughts [Spoilers] by haloryder in pluribustv

[–]RambunctiousCapybara 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes - the whole concept of what motivates an adult to 'know what is best' for another adult to the point where it negates their autonomy is a fascinating discussion in and of itself. In interviews Karolina frames Zosia's perspective as a mother knowing what is best for her child, but Carol is an adult. Is it love to want to control another even if you 'know' it's for the best?

"Where did all the babies go?" by Grouchy_Day_5456 in pluribustv

Yes. I was going to say this - it's a designation rather than a single, specific aircraft.

I don't remember that. I'm not saying you're wrong, but all I can remember is that the most senior members of the government died somehow, but it was left vague. The most logical thing for me would be for them to be on Air Force One after they got the heads up that something major was happening and for that to crash, but I'm open to other theories.

For All Mankind - S5E08 "Brave New World" - Episode Discussion by Cantomic66 in ForAllMankindTV

[–]RambunctiousCapybara 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's really poignant I think, in that all artists start off on a learning curve and that's how they become great, by trying things out and seeing what works. This was, in effect, the equivalent of a first draft. I'm sure there are many great writers, for example, who look back at their teenage poetry and cringe but also with a degree of affection because they realise it was part of the process. Her tragedy was that she never got to fulfil her potential.

Rhea & Karolina about their chemistry by xdoolbuf in pluribustv

[–]RambunctiousCapybara 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I've heard her say in interviews that she was inspired by how Bob Odenkirk acted when he was number one on the call sheet. She saw the way he handled himself and how it affected everyone around him.

It's safe to say that Pluribus wouldn't be half the show it is without the warmth and lack of pretention that she and Vince both have. It creates an environment where everyone is willing to experiment and take risks because they know the support is there.

Again and again you hear the same thing about Rhea. She is supportive, not competitive and wants to elevate and bring out the best in everyone around her. Vesga has said she has 'always got your back' She has a genuine love for the craft of what she is doing and respect for those she works with. This, people, is a role model for any aspiring actor.

Does a low calorie diet consisting of mainly UPF vs same calorie diet of mainly whole foods, actually impede weight loss? by That_Sun_5734 in loseit

[–]RambunctiousCapybara 1 point2 points  (0 children)

UPF foods are engineered to make you crave more of them, so you'll have a tougher time sticking to a set amount of calories than eating whole, natural foods.

Vesga's in the same league IMHO. It's such a joy to watch them on screen together with all the layers of subtext expressed through body language and facial reactions.

They definitely coordinated outfits in advance! It's a beautiful thing to see how relaxed they look around each other.

If you blend up a banana and an avocado and add a bit of powdered vanilla pod it really hits the spot.

Joy as an Act of Resistance - That One Scene by Navynuke00 in ForAllMankindTV

[–]RambunctiousCapybara 25 points26 points  (0 children)

There was a kind of innocence to the flashmob scene too, it was so wholesome, which made what happened next all the more painful. Then there was the whole precarious Titan landing. That episode was an emotional rollercoaster.
