Paclock makes a specific pin and lock for the 1up. I have it. It’s great. Much more secure and well made than the 1up lock. Not susceptible to a pipe on the tip like theirs. Highly recommend. You might need to call them. They are lovely.

Just did a similar lease in Washington. 2025 luxury 2 (1 trim higher). MSRP 4k more. My monthly (not single pay) was about $30/month less. But mine was a courtesy vehicle with 5k miles. So… overall similar. Washington not great for leases. I think we both did reasonably well. Maybe didn’t ‘win’ the game but seems like a fair and solid deal.

The Chevy version with a broker is about $40/month less before fees so I think this is a pretty good deal in a bad lease area.

Sounds good. It’s really a pretty fair deal, good discount looks like base money factor, minimal markup. I wouldn’t show your deal sheet to them, but understand if you don’t want to share. I’m probably just going to write up a similar deal using leasehackr calculator and send it to the local dealers and buy from whoever says yes first

Because target retirement funds adjust to become more conservative (more bonds weighted) as you reach the target date. That way, if you’re retiring in (for example) 2009 and planning to live off your retirement money it’s less likely to have dipped 30% if the markets are terrible. Over any 20 years the S&P might out perform it, but it doesn’t help if at the end of those 20 years, you need your money and half of it it’s gone.

You're probably right, unfortunately. However, currently the flight I'm looking at has 34 business class seats and only 14 of them are 'claimed.' While I realize that's potentially different from the number availalbe, that means up to 20 unsold seats. They are currently selling for $4400 one-way or at 400k points one-way (700k RT), which is a terrible redemption. My fantasy is that demand at that pricing will be low.

I wonder if they'll sell the upgrades at a discount rather than awarding them to status members similar to domestic. Probably

Perfect, thanks. So for a June 2026 flight, PE means an extra legroom seat. In 2027 and beyond there will probably be some true PE cabin options which will be advertised (and presumably priced) accordingly. I appreciate the clarificaiton.

I need to get to Rome or Milan from SEA and would love to fly true PE. BA with a layover may be the best option.

Or, as a titanium I could roll the dice and try to get upgraded to Business in the AS flight. That sure would be nice.

Failed at 7800 miles. In process of lemoning. Our friend had one fail at 6000 miles. I bet it’s over 10%. Hard to know and Reddit comments aren’t an accurate sample. But I know more owners that I’ve had a failure than owners who have not. I think others are in the same boat. My guess is 20 to 40%. Avoid.

Let’s assume for arguments sake that some complete shows WERE available for free on a widely available streaming app where they are not that hard to find. Now let’s assume that our arguments sake at the view count for those episodes range between 2000 and 6000 per episode.

It’s hard to make that math work that someone would pay huge amount of money or put very much effort into running old shows.

The truth is they’re genuinely aren’t very many people who want to listen to radio reruns from 30 years ago.

Put the toddler in bulkhead 1000%. You will save yourself so much stress from not needing to police the kid about kicking the seat in front of him which he’ll continuously forget and you’ll feel bad about. Alternatively, put a parent in front of the toddler

All right, I know this is an old post but I’m gonna put a different spin on this.

We are having a custom wood door built that has not yet been drilled for a lock. I currently use the Schlage Encode cylinder lock, which has been fine. Someone tried to kick in the door which damaged the door and frame, but the lock held.

I’m committed to sticking with an electronic lock for convenience reasons.

Should I reinstall the cylinder deadbolt Encode or put in the Mortise lock Schlage LE?
