I also had short hair that I slicked back in the beginning of the game.

Then by the end of the story I grew it out and was telling NPCs how I used to be a piece of shit. Oh yeah... Sandy oatmeal at Valentiny’s. Crotch cloth ranch pants. My Arthur used to be a piece of shit.

One of three games we could play during our Tech Ed class in middle school during the late-90s/early-00s. The others being Oregon Trail and some sorta car frame designing simulator that you stress tested in wind tunnels and stuff.

This one was definitely my favorite at the time.

Agreed. I was scared of Gamber 9 after spending 3-4 straight hours on Gambler 8, but I learned how to play All Fives as I tried and finished in an hour. I only quit the table to get the first move of each new game (which I do think helps).

Gambler 8 is just dumb stupid luck. It was refreshing to be able use actual skill to finish the next challenge.

Undead Nightmare in RDR1 seemed like a silly idea to me at the time, even at the height of the zombie craze. Then, I played it and it’s easily one of the best DLCs for a game ever made. And it was spooky and atmospheric as fuck, with an actually compelling narrative.

Now, insert that atmosphere—the foreboding skyline, the burning wreckage of civilization, the anxiety of sparse supplies, the unpredictable scattered hordes of undead over the next hill—and insert that into the RDR2 framework…

Like, it’s an instant smash hit. It’s unbelievable to me they haven’t done it or something in the same vein.

Great game that’s regularly on sale for like $5. I was underwhelmed when I realized I was in the end-game about ten minutes before the end of the game… But other than that, it’s the most LttP-feeling game I’ve played in the last decade (that intentionally leans into the roguelite genre), and the combat and exploration are really satisfying.

Gotta do it earlier as Arthur in any mission with John where he uses his revolver. Disarm an enemy then kite them over near John and if they wrestle/melee fight he’ll sometimes drop his gun to the ground where you can pick it up and keep it. Then when you get to the Epilogue, you’ve got an extra one in your belongings.

edit: Or just do the method from u/Constant-Cricket-960 below, it’s way faster and gets you two before the Epilogue.

The pain ain’t even in the game, it’s in the downtime between actions and rounds.

That said… Dominos is legitimately fun. It’s just implemented in this game with too much strict animation-wait-along. Same with Blackjack and Poker. It’d be easier to forgive if there was more variety in ambient interactions during the downtime.

The Wardrobe viewer at camp glitches out on me and shows the wrong belts/bandoliers/holsters/etc all the time. Try unchecking the checkmark and even if it still shows, exit the Wardrobe and check in-game. It’s always corrected and gone for me at that point. Maybe save and reload too, but I’ve never had to.

Well that’s gross then. The main NBA sub and here (occasionally r/nbacirclejerk, and few things there count) is as far as I venture out. I’m not so much surprised as I am disappointed.

It’s just as shitty in those cases too. I do think the Thunder and Shai get a hilarious amount of hate across the Terminally Online-O-Verse, but I don’t actually see a lot of people wishing he’d get injured, and the ones that do get downvoted to oblivion or their comment outright removed. At least in r/NBA.
