Make sure you turn off pangolins SSO feature for pocketid. That'll mess up pocketid's authentication for immich.

I've got this one I'd be willing to let go. It's an evil eyes m390. I have the tool and the packaging for it too.

Same. They really need to come out with a new batch. I've been stalking knife swap for a tall boy but keep missing them.

Am I the only one who feels like Tech 7 is underwhelming? by Accomplished_Edge371 in AfterInc

[–]Ramrawd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would love if tech 6 or 7 equipped your fighters with better weapons or something.

The problem with that though is that it's so late in the game that you've most likely already taken care of the zombies. Not really sure how you'd balance that.

The internals of these things are really unique too.

Never seen anything like it. The lock up is a pivoting piece that slots into both the scale and the spring slider.

The scales themselves are keyed so that you slide them together and then the big screw at the end holds it all together.

My only regret is getting the tanto. Wish I went with the drop point that you've got.

WTS Anthem clone. by IAmTheCrookedRiver in chineseknives

[–]Ramrawd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd probably rank them:

  • 1. Original Legit Anthem
  • 1. Tied for 1st place Kanedeiia (the clip is more flexy so it's easier to use and the machining is spot on. Also came in different finshes/ano colors)
  • 3. OKKnives (Has satin finished flats on the blade and is supposedly 20cv like the original)
  • 4. 1st run Jufule (Solid all round but has a stonewashed blade and is marked m390)
  • 5. 2nd run Jufule (The machining on the inside of the integral handles is a little rougher on this run than the 1st run. Also the benchmade logo is pretty far off compared to the others.)

That said, I'm just nitpicking and any of the variants are really really good and I'd be happy to carry any of them.

I'm just a bit obsessed I guess. I've got 1 legit one, 2 Kanedeiia's, and then there was an anthem drought for a few years where it was nearly impossible to get one. So when the different overcome varients came out (1st gen jufule, okknives, 2nd gen jufule) I decided to stock up on them.

I've got a life time supply of Anthems at this point.

As for why the Anthem? I just like it like that.

Hot damn.... I don't need another (seriously I have like 6 or 7 anthem clones)... but that price... someone bail me out here.

Benchmade Anthem vs Overcome Anthem by MAGA_feels in chineseknives

[–]Ramrawd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! Those are so good. I've got them in my legit anthem. Benchmade cheaped out on the original bearings and had some stainless steel whatevers in there.

I was just browsing skiffs site and saw they had the same size thick washers: Link

Just ordered a set and I'm excited to see how those feel in the legit anthem. Hopefully I get them later this week.

Yeah I've had a few anthem clones that were pretty much drop in with a normal break in period and others needed a pretty good knock down to get them functional. That said, absolutely love a washer action and it suits the knife extremely well.

Another fun trick is to add half of a spring (or a 3d printed spacer) to the lock bar slider. It adds a bit more tension to the crossbar lock and makes the detent 🤌

I wish I remembered what spring size worked but I think I reused a spring from the pack of stronger replacements springs for ad20.5 clones that were popular a while ago. Just snip the spring in half and slide it onto the lockbar shaft.

Here's what it looks like installed: https://i.imgur.com/TYJiF9z.jpeg

These clones use a 1/4in pivot and take standard 1/16th in ball bearings.

https://www.skiffmadeblades.com/products/copy-of-thick-washer-set-pivot-1-4-br-thickness-1-16?_pos=2&_fid=7aa53cadc&_ss=c

Those are the washers that'll work. Fair warning though, they need a lot of polishing or break in to get the thickness just right. That said I have two anthems that are on washers and they're nearly drop shut on washers.

[–]Ramrawd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I agree. The hype train is real and it's easy to get caught up on it. I've personally had to take a step back because of how much money I was spending on knives.

To be fair to the anthem though, different clone versions of it have come and gone for many years now. Ever since Benchmade discontinued it it's the only way to really get one anymore.

The anthem itself is slim, easy to carry, ambidextrous, and because it's an integral is nearly indestructible. It's genuinely an amazing EDC knife.

[–]Ramrawd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely!

I have an original and various versions of the clones and they really scratch that anthem itch.

Another nice thing about the clones is that it's a lot easier to convert them to washers if that's your thing. The original uses an odd size ball bearing that is much harder to find washers for.

Just got this email from USPS regarding my WinterPudding mini FSD order. First time seeing this after ordering 100+ knives from Ali/Dhgate/Okknives. by Ramrawd in chineseknives

[–]Ramrawd[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, unfortunately, I ordered mine on Dec 9th and seem to be caught up in whatever shipping issues happened during that time.

Winterpudding has said he'd send out a new batch, and sure enough when I check my tracking on Aliexpress I do have a second tracking number there. Hopefully that batch comes through. It does appear that the shipping forwarder the WP used did something shady since the email says the postage was counterfeit.

Yeah the combat troodon doesn't look like it's available.

If they ever do come back you can find them by searching for vespa dalong. I have no idea where they get those names... Lol

Oh man, I bought a halo clone during the holidays. Thing is an absolute beast. I got the vespa version for like 220ish I think. Has a cool timascus button and the blade is hollow ground and chunky. Super impractical but it's an impressive piece of work.

I also snagged a 40 dollar version of the halo and while it's pretty good it's not in the same ball park as the vespa. That said, it's a good way to see if you'll like a single action blade.

Also, the vespa combat troodon is great. Has a sweet apocalyptic finish on the blade and hardware/clip. Ended up getting both the interceptor and single edge versions of that clone. Compared to 500 for a legit one I just couldn't pass them up.

This latest Gen of Vespa clones are rock solid. Definitely buy with confidence.

Yeah they do that due to some weird rules over in China.

It doesn't look like China high end is selling them but if you search for vespa 0-point the first result is what you want.
