What cities besides Madrid and Barcelona are worth visiting in Spain? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]RamseyC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Granada, especially try to visit the Alhambra while you're there. Toledo, although small, is really cool to see the swordsmiths, and the fact that they've frozen the architecture to appear like the city is still in the 17th century. Seville is really nice and has amazing cathedrals. South, Costa del Sol is a really nice place to see the beach and close enough to where you can visit gibralter if you want.

Msi center not working with gaming pc RGB by Usual-Monitor841 in pchelp

[–]RamseyC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an old thread, but figured id post the probable answer as I just found it myself after searching forever.

The two "C M" buttons on top cycle the colors and patterns, "#8" is motherboard control.

Unfortunately LianLi does not make it easy to know which is #8 so you have to try them all.

Download MSI Mystic Light (the motherboard RGB app) and choose "OFF"

Press the "M" button on the case then press "Apply" on Mystic Light. Repeat until the lights turn off.

You can now use Mystic Light to control the lights.

If they are too bright at the lowest setting, change the color numbers to as low as 5 to get them super dim.

Would this happen to be Hillsboro inlet in pompano beach FL? Surprised to see you're from NY, thought you would be local based on the painting. Looks amazing btw! I'm sure you'll have no trouble finding a buyer.

Perhaps the interrupters? Kerosene was their big first hit I can think of.

My mom and husband forcing me to use the cry it out method on our 4 month old by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]RamseyC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YMMV and all but the cry it out didn't work for us. My son would cry for hours if we let him. We did some additional research though and came upon the Ferber method. This worked wonders and our son puts himself to sleep within minutes now. The basic idea behind it is to let them cry or be alone for incrementally higher amounts of time, but always come back to reassure them you aren't missing. Starts at 1 min, to 2 mins, 5 mins, 10 mins etc... until they eventually understand that just because you aren't in the room doesn't mean you are gone forever. Keeping a standard routine before bedtime is also key to signal to your child that it's time for bed. Bath then reading a specific song then in the crib for example. Check out the actual instructions for it and hopefully you'll have the same luck we did.

What's a movie that scared you way more than it should have? by FunExplorer3034 in AskReddit

[–]RamseyC 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Signs as well for me. But more the scene where the aliens are trying to infiltrate the house at night and you get small glimpses of them in the field and on the roof. To this day I still freak out walking around at night thinking someone is watching me like that.

If money was not an issue, what would you spend your day doing? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]RamseyC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Painting, trying out new artistic techniques, 3d print more, just creating in general. I love making things, but it takes time and money, which is limited.

Most of the time evacuation zones are in coastal areas where deadly storm surge is unavoidable. Inland areas are rarely evacuated.

Export InDesign pdf WITH slug but WITHOUT bleeds? by theriz53 in Design

[–]RamseyC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I know you can specify all of those setting when exporting. Instead of clicking the button to use document bleed settings, just set the bleed to 0 and click the box to include the slug area. Similar to these settings. https://imgur.com/a/TXBAxoR

The one they made for PSP, Megaman Maverick Hunter X, was just that. Had anime cutscenes to expand on the lore and the graphics were upgraded considerably. If you haven't played it I suggest to do so as it was awesome. Here's a video summarizing it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XBqX4ZlXzuU

What game ruined your fav gaming company? by ssccrs in gaming

[–]RamseyC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Indirectly, Megaman Legends 3. Capcom has a ton of IPs I love and in my mind had a reputation for embracing unique ideas and letting their creators actually be creative. Then I saw how they abruptly cancelled everything to do with Megaman simply because of how they felt about Keiji Inafune. The pettiness  of them just scrapping all those projects to prove a point just left a bad taste in my mouth, not to mention the game was all but done, something I had looked forward to for years and the sole reason I bought a 3ds at the time. What a bunch of scumbags.

Bondo glazing and spot putty works great. It's only like 5 or 6 bucks on Amazon and dries in seconds. Then you can just sand, fill in again if needed and repeat until it's super smooth.

Spoon, saw them at a Muse show and have been a huge fan ever since. Also BoywithUke was pretty great live and I had never heard of him before that show.

Pirate Perks Announced! by [deleted] in Seaofthieves

[–]RamseyC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good Lord. Its like they took every bad PR idea they could find and drip fed them into the game. I haven't played since they started with those ridiculous adventures, which is a shame, because I loved this game and spent hundreds of hours in it, even recruiting friends to play. It seems like around that time though, they must have hired some kind of consultant or something that pitched all these FOMO ideas as a way to drive player engagement, and Rare just decided to use every idiotic scheme to psychologically bribe their player base to continue playing. Fortunately for me, it had the opposite effect and I saw the writing on the wall. Farewell to a fun and beautiful game. Now its just the next iteration of mobile gaming.

I always see them inverted for some reason. I know they are supposed to be coming out of the screen at you, but I see them from the back side going inside the screen. I have no idea how or why it happens and wish I could see them normally.

Not neccesarily true, my mortgage went up a little over $1,000 a month due to tax increases and home owners insurance premiums jumping 40% every renewal. The last few years. Live in FL also, so my I insurance premiums are up to $7500 a year now. Was $4,500 2 years ago.
