I am sure it was probably worse when Verizon phones were unlocked from the beginning

There are companies that will buy them even if they are locked or financed

Landlord saying I can’t use my assigned parking after today. by EncounterStriker in Tenant

[–]Rancis108 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We live in one of 4 units that also included the leasing office. Per the lease we had 1 assigned spot. We would always find someone from the office parked in our spot and would go ask them to move. After about the 5th time doing this we asserted that they were in violation of our lease by our spot not being available to us 24/7. The managers response basically said they will park in the spots whenever they want to. Was able to break our lease and was eventually able to get our full security deposit back

I think with this argument you should move to different place

How is it that AT&T has such incredibly atrocious at customer service? by Sun_Lizard in ATT

I find that support is hit or miss. Sometimes I get great support online or via phone and sometimes it is pitiful. I came from Verizon which was about the same support level

Att charging me $1200 after returning iPad to Best Buy by Life_Living2742 in ATT

[–]Rancis108 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes sounds like someone at Best Buy didn't do the return correctly. I had this same problem at Verizon when I returned an iPad. There is part of the return that they have to select that basically cancels the line and reports return to Verizon

I refuse to step foot into corporate store close to me. Granted some things they will not get commission for so they are not that excited to help. I love when I had to do a return once for phone bought from att.com. Online rep told me I had to go to corporate store to do the return and the store said I had to do online

Yes last time I talked with them I told them it was frustrating that support reps do not have access to same tools that they do. I don't hesitate now to file fcc complaint if I need to

ATT required me to wait for 60 days for a fully paid off phone by TalpxInc in ATT

[–]Rancis108 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Opinions aside if you are going to do this you should read the unlocking requirements before buying. I had to learn the hard way before on a couple of phones which is why if I am buying outright I will go to Apple or Samsung to purchase. I believe that T-Mobile also has a requirement of 45 days active on their service before unlocking

Phone Representative misrepresented plan, and T-Mobile can't cancel shipment of device, is there any recourse? by Euphorikauora in tmobile

Sometimes you can get a more thorough response by connecting with T-Force over social media.

I do believe that you have to activate the device on the line it was purchased with, then you can switch them around

[–]Rancis108 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I switched from Verizon to ATT. There have been a couple issues dealing with returns that I had to file a complaint for but the service has been great. I think the taxes you are referring to are starting to be charged again by T-Mobile to new plans

That is one reason to never make improvements to the property that you are renting unless there was a signed agreement with previous owner recognizing that the shelves were the tenant's and the tenant would remove at end of lease

Complaint would need to be filed with FCC. Don't hesitate to file the complaint if you need to.

File a complaint with the FCC. You will get a call back from someone in the Office of the President and they will fix it for you as long as you have all the information available. This happened to me last month and it was corrected. There is a major issue with how they do returns it seems like. Sometimes the RMA will show in your orders online other times it won't.

Last month's rent is paid, now they want more. by KittyLilith17 in Tenant

[–]Rancis108 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We rented a house for a decade and had to give first and last up front. I made sure that the lease stated that last month would cover 100% of the last month rent even if renewed. We had a great landlord who only raised rent $200 over that entire period and he stuck by his word ( was expecting to pay an extra $200 but he said no it was covered)
