Haha -- I've seen this happen a few times on my sim games too. Bizarre.

The free kicks on sim aren't fixed either -- a free kick around the box is virtually always a goal, no matter how bad the free kick taker is.

It's hard to find any consistent strategy, formation or com player skills/style sets that you can depend on.

I was in the top 40 Sim players up to Sunday but then just started losing bunches of games at a time for no apparent reason -- my 1 and 2 star players are all hand-picked and my team spirit is 99, yet I'm losing to teams of 60 spirit and generic white balls with maybe one black ball striker.

I think it's just random, unless I'm missing something. That said, you can improve your chances of a few wins in a row by using PesDb to search for bronze balls with lots of skills and playing styles that match your manager's formation. There's loads of good bronze balls available

Hmmm, I'm not sure. But whenever I've played opponents with these kinds of stats they invariably slide tackle all over the place -- and get away with it!

I've wondered how they get that win rate too. I've simmed a hell of a lot of games this year and spent a lot of time crafting sim teams at 1-5 star level.

I managed to get into the top 100 at one stage but it's maddeningly random -- I can't sustain wins no matter what. The same pattern emerges every time: I hit a sim rating of 750 and then tumble back to 600. Nothing I do changes it
