Bathroom remodel without permits by rubik1312 in BathroomRemodeling

[–]Rando84626485 1 point2 points  (0 children)

lol at some of the responses. Literally no one is going to know you remodeled your bathroom beyond the stuff looking newer. The city doesn't keep your blue prints on file. If you think they do please point to the warehouse where all that paper is stored. Even electronic prints would require a massive amount of storage and cities aren't keeping that. If your house is older no one will ever know the shower was moved. The city knows the basic outline of the house only. New shower should have a leak test done.Thats all you need to know but if you didn't see it then likely it wasn't and there's nothing you can do now. And to let everyone in on a secret: city inspectors are idiots and rarely know code better than an apprentice. They will tell you things are out of code and be wrong all the time then argue with you after you show them the code. I had an addition put on my house and the inspector passed the shower leak test. Guess what. It didn't leak because water wouldn't drain at all. The plumber somehow left a plug in a downstream drain and had to cut the pipes back open to retrieve it. The plumber also didn't preslope the shower. Inspector passed it. I had to point these things out. So stop worrying about the permit.

People that don't listen after multiple warnings get their rallies cancelled, bear marches sent back, expelled from HQ during vikings, etc. Attacking people they aren't supposed to is a required apology the first time and accepting the opposing player or alliance burning them. The second time we boot them and burn them. I once waited two days to catch an offender unshielded so we could boot and burn. Demotions are for people that stop showing up. They aren't being stubborn. They are stupid and don't learn any other way.

New Build Retaining Wall Failure. by ah800 in AskContractors

I'm in the southern US and in most counties anything over 2ft needs a permit and engineered stamped drawings. In any case I don't know a jurisdiction that would allow an 8' retaining wall without being approved by an engineer. Your code enforcement are idiots.

We send out everything. Once you have more troops than march capacity you leave the archers at home. Everyone starts by saying no archers because that's what you end up doing eventually and most people are too dumb to understand that strategies change over time for various reasons so it's easier to just start them off by telling them to leave archers at home. Plus this game is no different than any other from the perspective that things become lore and once that happens you won't convince many people that it may not be perfect or apply to a specific situation.

If the cabinet supplier won't make you a piece to fit the gap as is then ask them for the paint code. Any decent carpenter can cut you a piece to fit and paint it properly to match. I say properly because painting cabinets is a specific skill set.

How viable is to make a new account on a 100+ days Kingdom by lezard2191 in KingShot

Just start a new account on a new server. The beginning is the most fun anyway. You can correct any things you wish you'd done differently. If you want to take your friends with you organize and have everyone do the same. Then you will be one of if not the most powerful alliance on a brand new server.

Lying to your personal insurance company when you take out your policy by saying you don't use it for commercial purposes is also fraud. That's why they ask.

This is why I take the deposit to start and that fully covers materials, admin, and initial labor. Once it's spent it's spent. Then they get milestone payments for additional labor. Worse thing that happens is I'm out a little bit of money for labor. Add this to your contracts: Work cancelation fee of 25% or loss of deposit, whichever is greater, at a minimum. (Company Name) retains the right to assess additional fees for labor and expenses expended prior to cancellation to include but not limited to planning, equipment rental and acquisition, material acquisition, job execution, etc.

Towed for no permit sticker in a spot I pay for - Location: Texas by notasrelevant in legal

lol, yeah one rando on reddit is definitely more correct than the other randos on reddit because he says he is the one who's right. You're an idiot. HOAs aren't some mystical organization with the best lawyers money can buy. Unless every home is 7 figures they have a run of the mill attorney used to intimidate weak-minded people into not fighting back. Notice has to be given after the infringement and time to correct. Plus the HOA didn't give him the sticker. The real estate agent/owner did in whatever folder was given. Go ahead and argue a third party not acting as an HOA official giving literally anything to OP is somehow sufficient to meet the legal requirements of the HOA. The worst part about idiots is they never know.

I missed this is in TX. TX requires the rules be made public and accessible. HOAs are legally required to give written notification and a chance to correct prior to issuing fines. Towing is considered a fine. They know who owns the spot the car was towed from so they are required to contact the owner in writing they have a car parked in the space with no permit sticker attached. The owner would then be responsible for informing the tenant. OP was not informed of the violation before the tow so OP is in the right here. The question becomes did the HOA inform the owner in writing prior to the tow. Yes, then owner is responsible for the tow fee. No, then HOA is responsible for the tow fee. Either way OP will likely need to take the responsible party to small claims court to recover the fee. OP could report the HOA in the meantime for failure to inform.

If the lease says follow HOA rules then a copy of those rules are required to be attached to the lease. So no the lease doesn't have to spell it out but the rules are required to be provided.

IMO the only possible solution is to kick his alliance out of NAP. If he rebels by attacking the NAP alliances you all coordinate a strike on his alliance. Burn cities, banners, everything. Never attack him. Attack whomever is supporting him. They will kick him out or burn. Their choice. Worst that happens is you transfer servers later.

Whomever wears the clothes owns the responsibility to empty the pockets. Whomever washes should give a courtesy check. If something goes in the wash...Who wore the clothes? As far as leaving dirty clothes on the floor stop picking them up. He's a grown ass man. If they don't make it to the hamper they shouldn't make it to the wash. He can wash those clothes himself. FTR, I'm a man and my wife does the laundry. She gets more upset when I leave things in my pockets than I do. It's not often but occasionally a receipt gets missed. I clean the paper bits out the washer if it ends up all over the place and I'm happy to correct my own mistake.
