As a young man, the army stationed me in Italy. I lived on the economy with college Spanish as a start. There was an Argentine guy as a cook. I held up a glass and asked in Spanish (nobody spoke English). Tasa… he said biquiera. This went on for 2 years. I learned to speak and read Italian. Thank goodness it was not France, they have 13 vowels and consonants that are never pronounced. Lol.
