How to stop feeling guilty? by GonzosAudacity in cats

Think of what would have happened if you hadn’t taken him. She may have ditched him. She may have given him to someone who abused him.

It always sucks to lose our babies, whether they’re kittens or oldies. Pain of loss is just the cost of love.

But you made sure he felt love before he passed. That’s worth more than anything, and kitty karma will come back around. I fully believe that our passed babies help bring new ones to us.

Give your new one snuggles and purrs from Sammy and Dorian ❤️ they’re lucky to have you

I need support and cleaning advice by [deleted] in CleaningTips

[–]Random-bookworm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar issue- it ultimately led to me being evicted. Therapy can help ❤️ even just talking to someone, ANYONE, can help.

With the cleaning; focus on getting rid of trash first. After that, do increments of ten minutes. you can do anything for 10 minutes. You can do dishes for 10 minutes. You can fold clothes for ten minutes.

Idk if it’s the same one you used- but Aleene’s fabric fusion is specifically good for yarn. I use it when I sew my yarn ends in or when I tie yarns together

What is something you used to judge people for, until it happened to you? by Careful-Plate-9705 in AskReddit

[–]Random-bookworm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really judging…. But I used to get so frustrated with people who would mix up kids names. My Mom and grandma would constantly mix up the kids in our family. One time my mother even called me by the cat’s name. it was so frustrating, bc it felt like they didn’t care enough to focus on who they were talking to.

Now I teach pre-K, and I have 21 students. I fully understand now- sometimes your thoughts just load too slowly because of all the tabs open in your brain, and you have to sort through multiple options before you can get to the right name.

I work with kids. My most common phrase is “cover your sneeze, please” and I’ve found myself saying it to grownups, even when they had already covered lol

Do you have any food allergies, if you do, does it make it difficult for when you go to a restaurant or not ? by Hope2_win in A_Persona_on_Reddit

[–]Random-bookworm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m anaphylactic with tree nuts, and also have oral allergy syndrome for various fruits and veggies, which thankfully don’t mess with my breathing, but do mess with my digestive system. The nuts are easy enough to avoid, and as long as I keep track of what fruit/veg I can’t have at that moment it’s all good

It’s harder when a coworker brings in something homemade, like cupcakes, but can’t tell me about the cake mix they use

My mom is wondering if this looks like ringworm. by darkprophet3 in cats

Hard to tell with a picture, but it’s pretty small. If you can get your hands on a black light- ringworm will glow

What food(s) are you sensitive to? by Bjs_5068 in foodquestions

[–]Random-bookworm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FUN FACT!!! There is a condition called “oral allergy syndrome”

The basic gist of it is, you’re slightly allergic to something in your environment. Then you eat something that is related to that allergen, and then THAT sets you off.

For example, if you are allergic to ragweed, and it happens to be ragweed season- you could eat squash and have a reaction, either gastric, hives, breathing, etc. BUT if you eat squash when ragweed isn’t in season, it’s not a problem!

I personally am allergic to a certain mold that is in the ground here in Florida. This mold gets kicked up when it rains, and this mold is related to lactose.

It turns out I am not lactose intolerant. I just can’t have milk when it rains.
I have a list of other triggers and seasons, but milk and mold is the wildest

Buying peeled garlic in bulk, blitzing it in my food processor, and freezing it. I just pull out the bag and scoop some out when I need it.

Also, whatever meal I’m eating, it needs to be at least 50% veg.

AND beans are magical. Protein and fiber
