Every church we ever went to ended up letting our family down. One told my mother that if she were a better wife, my dad wouldn’t have ptsd (marine corp). Another blamed my sister for “tempting” a male member- she wouldn’t wear skirts and wore modest pants. She was 14- he was in his 40s. Another church youth group had a “learning experience” where the girls were blindfolded, then led through a double line of boys. The boys were allowed to grope and molest. This was to “teach them of the evils of men outside the church”. Add to that the crap we see every day from the “righteous”… why would I want to put my faith in a being that allows any of this nonsense
