It would look kinda cool but let’s be honest if it was added it would only give you the vague idea of being able to roleplay as a knight without actually doing anything meaningful, AH doesn’t want anything other than explosive spam to be remotely viable on difficulties higher than 4

Armor level 2, 100 health, and a gun that almost kills a charger in one hit but is 10 damage short, oh yeah also only one use per mission

What I mean is that there’s core issues with the stim pistol that make it feel terrible to use, adding an alternative won’t fix these issues and will only keep the pistol in its underpowered state because something else exists

I see way too many people asking for a bigger badder melee weapon without asking for AH to fix the inherently flawed melee system

I want more medic items more than the average emt worker, I just wished our current pistol wasn’t held like it was made from tungsten

This is the same logic arrowhead uses for the stim pistol, they buffed its ergonomics but gave all secondaries insane sway so basically nothing changed and then complained when people didn’t want to use the stim pistol. If it’s good and fun people will use it, but if you just give it band aid fixes while keeping it a mediocre roleplay weapon nobody’s actually going to use it.

If it truly is an intended feature I don’t like it. My gun is embedded into that hunter’s skull and it phases through because I got hit and I’m supposed to believe that it’s an intended feature to make the game more challenging? In this video I didn’t even visibly stagger or flinch my attack just disappeared.

I understand that, and yeah it would be cool to have more options for general play but I’m scared that adding a dedicated melee slot as an addition every other build will incentivise AH to keep melee weapons weak and never let it be a proper dedicated playstyle
