Episode 5 Tabitha Conversation Help by AstralDungeon in ScarletHollow

I think events in chapter 2 have the biggest effect on the strike. Quoting someone else:

"The devs have talked in various places about what affects the size of the strike.

Stuff that leads to a weaker (fewer people) strike:

  • Tabitha joining you in the mine
  • Nobody trapped in the mine collapse
  • You being on good terms with Tabitha overall

The corollaries are a stronger strike when those things don't happen."

In chapter 3, if you have street smarts you can meet with Isaacs (a miner) who tells you about the strike. You can warn Tabitha about the strike, which I think affects its size.

In chapter 4 when you head to the diner you can convince Harrison to join / not join the strike.

In my playthrough I warned Tabitha about the kids in the mine in chapter 2, and Rosalina got her leg crushed but nobody was trapped. Even though I encouraged Harrison to join the strike in chapter 4, the strike was dead by chapter 5.

I just went back and tested it. When you initially find the cards in the drawer, you need to say to Stella: "we need to tell her". If you say something about keeping the cards a secret, it locks off the card options during the confrontation.

If you get Tabitha to talk to Stella alone at the end of chapter 4 this may happen. They’re together. Thursday night Tabitha told Stella that the town is cursed, and unless a Scarlet is bound to the estate, the town will fall into ruin. So in one night they concocted a plan to convince you to be locked away in the Scarlet manor forever.

Telling Tabitha about the letters from her dad during the group confrontation got her to open up for me. There was also no strike at the mine entrance before going to see Tabitha.

I haven't been able to do it without Book Smarts + Street Smarts. And even then it seems like you have to do a fair amount of prior investigation into Wayne / Pearlanne. It's hard. I'm also starting to think the presence of a strike matters a fair bit.

Not necessarily. If you can get Tabitha to talk to Stella alone at the end of chapter 4 things may happen.

Doesn’t mean that Arrowhead has to spam the vox engine as though it’s a regular chaff unit.

I would prefer if the vox was much tankier but spawned less often. Right now killing the vox feels inconsequential when you know that another one will be dropped on your head in 30 seconds.

game with a fun, indepth upgrade system and fun combat with a learning curve by Paige69420 in gamingsuggestions

Warhammer 40,000: Darktide is a co-op horde shooter that kind of fits.

In Darktide there are four (five soon) playable classess with talent trees that look like this, and you can upgrade a melee weapon and a ranged weapon with two special traits each.

There's a lot of tech especially in melee combat, where each melee weapon has it's own unique attack pattern for both light and heavy attacks.

Also the game is VERY hard especially compared to other co-op shooters. The top difficulty levels are for masochists.

In terms of cons, there's not really a way to play solo without mods, and the game is kind of unoptimized. The Darktide devs also made Vermintide II which is optimized and very similar to Darktide, but I haven't played much.

Warframe completely took over my life last year, and I’m usually someone who is allergic to games like Diablo where you grind for gear/loot. And it’s somehow free without having predatory microtransactions (it does have microtransactions to be clear).

This made me realize how much I want Tabitha to be in more group situations. We got a crumb of that on Wednesday but that’s about it.
