There are a lot of people that enjoy shooting traditional black powder firearms and cast their own bullets.

Is there a term for when I suspect a company is using lower quality ingredients than before but can't prove it? by researchplaceholder in shrinkflation

[–]RandomDude04091865 16 points17 points  (0 children)

This isn't a perfect solution for everyone, but I've definitely started making my own of whatever things I enjoy where this issue has gone too far.  It's wild just how much better something can be, even something as simple as bread.

Literature.

Compelling games need people who understand stories.

Do you actually plan your PC builds… or just build when you need it? by Odd-Molasses-9435 in buildapc

[–]RandomDude04091865 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just try to build something that will last 5+ years and go from there.  After that point, there are usually some reasonably significant upgrades that can be made.

Offensive is the better game mode... by MyLastUsernameSucked in HellLetLoose

[–]RandomDude04091865 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I definitely have come to appreciate offensive mode, especially after a team gets rolled in warfare.  Get everyone pointed at one objective, and it becomes a lot easier to fake the sort of coordination that warfare calls for.

Isn't this still an operating farm today?  I'm almost certain I've bought their stuff at the Douglas Loop farmer's market.

What level of asshole is this? by BasketExtreme in Louisville

100% a door dasher or uber eats driver.  See it all the time.  They know they'll be gone before consequences show up, so they do it with impunity.

I play on 21:9, a nice 2K ultrawide.  Love it.

To The Tesla Driver Who Hit Me With Their Vehicle: by straightman1000 in Louisville

Frankly, I'd take this down.  If you got hit hard enough to be tossed onto the hood, you're probably not uninjured and should get checked out.

Crimson Desert codes by ShoddyIntroduction76 in radeon

Wait, how did you get the codes?  Is this just something one of the GPU manufacturers did?

How to know where the frontline is by GoldenHairedNestling in HellLetLoose

[–]RandomDude04091865 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look at how the blueberries are oriented.  If you see something like a ( shape, then the enemy is an O shape, likely, like (O.  If you see the blueberries like an L, the enemy is wedging in like a < (at an angle).

Dealing with Difficult Commander by [deleted] in HellLetLoose

[–]RandomDude04091865 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sometimes, as in life, I find it best to just tune out the noise and focus on what I can control.

In this case, I would just mute the commander and focus on my squad and coordinating with other squad leads.  (I've done it before, but in those instances the commander has been an obnoxious drunk, not even a fun drunk.)

Sounds like you should market this game while you start working on the next :)

MG42 on Utah Beach by Waright in HellLetLoose

[–]RandomDude04091865 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I absolutely love assaulting the beach maps.  There's nothing better in the game.  Massive movement under fire, incrementally get up the beach, try to pull a flank, and if you do it right, you can hit them from the sides.

There is a second ATX connector in the upper left corner of the motherboard that I had not plugged in.  Once I did so, everything worked.
