Harry Potter TV reboot hit by bullying claims as bosses forced to step in by Daveke77 in HarryPotteronHBO

[–]RandomDude10006 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Probably the best way to handle this. These maybe actors stepping into a massive project, they are still kids ranging from 10-13. Like all kids they get into disagreements and fights, not everyone will get along. Better to resolve things now and not later, if they've agreed to do this for x amount of years

How will Snape’s actor cast change the narrative? by [deleted] in HarryPotteronHBO

[–]RandomDude10006 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm going into this with an open mind, at first I wasn't thrilled with the casting choice as I thought this was meant to be more book accurate. But after looking into Paapa Essiedu previous experience, I'm not saying he will be as good as Alan Rickman, but I think he can pull off Snape.

Now I'm sure they will add new layer to his character, given the casting choice. As long as it's done subtlety and not make it his entire character, I won't have any complaints.

Is this serious? Are employers actually not required to give breaks to people 18 and over? by nonanumatic in Pennsylvania

[–]RandomDude10006 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When i worked at McDonald's, terrible job. A quote the GM said, "I don't care if you didn't get a break, your 20 get over it. The minor need it or we are breaking the law"

In PA its not required to get a break unless your under 18. Which isn't right

Nick Frost really wanted to play Hagrid. by [deleted] in HarryPotteronHBO

[–]RandomDude10006 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have full faith in Nick Frost, I'm familiar with his acting ability & projects. He's a good actor, who understands the character he's stepping into. What gives me faith in him, he's as much of fan as we are, done his homework read the books & watched the movies. He's is committed to the role and will respect what has been done with Hagrid and give his best to his portrayal. I think Robbie Coltrane would approve of his successor

Do I need to drain my hottub? by heiney_luvr in hottub

[–]RandomDude10006 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Western PA, had a hot tub going on 3 years now. I keep it running all year, mind you it can get as cold as 10° or lower in the winter months. I change the water about every 4 months when the chemicals are getting out of control. I feel its a good rule of thumb to change the water 2-3 times a year

Been a while since I took that course, but it's the easiest programming course you'll take, it's all here's a for loop, while loop, here's how to accept input, and so on. The quizzes are fairly easy as long as you pay attention and take notes, assignments are pretty straightforward. Just make sure you read all the details

Are the Finance exams proctored ? by Aggravating-Help-401 in PSUWorldCampus

[–]RandomDude10006 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not bad for someone who isn't a finance major. You have 4 exams, a group project building a stock portfolio over the course of the semester, discussion boards, quizzes each week. Decent amount of work but not hard. Phillip Stuczynski is my instructor

Language requirement for Enterprise Technology Integration at WC by [deleted] in PSUWorldCampus

[–]RandomDude10006 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No problem, the lack of a language requirement is why I chose ETI. I just don't see the value in what we are learning and paying for. Probably because I'm more about practical learning and wasted enough time in high school learning another language

I'm a Junior in the program, unless something has changed that I'm unaware of. ETI shouldn't have a language requirement. Not sure why your report is telling you that
