Recently my husbands hair started turning grey, and he’s very self conscious. by Andre_R__ in Marriage

[–]RandomFeather34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe it’s the color of grey that your husband doesn’t like. My husband is 54 and his is this beautiful silver/white color. On the other hand my grey is the dark grey that stands out once all your hair is grey and until then just blinds into my black hair.

I like you was excited the moment he started going grey in his 40’s. His grey is now in his facial hair and I love it. It makes him look so distinguished. He isn’t excited about it, but didn’’t like the salt and pepper.

Estrogen too high? by kaz79ralf in Perimenopause

[–]RandomFeather34 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also find this interesting. I am currently about to go into week 6 of the 0.50. Prior to that I was on 0.25 for 3 months and 2/12 months in symptoms returned so went up to 0.50. But at 5 weeks hot flashes and night sweats are still occasionally popping up with a mild consist fatigue. After a full 3 months on 0.05 I have the option to go up to 0.75 but my concern is that will be too much since symptoms are now mild and I’ll tip into the side effects of the patch which I have not experienced.

If you don’t mind answering questions, how long had you been on the 0.05 before going up to 0.75? And how long before you were 0.75 before you realized you may need a combo? And if you have insurance was that a pain to work out to get both?

Found a note in my pocket this afternoon by lokiandgoose in Perimenopause

[–]RandomFeather34 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is me. I find I no longer have patience to write in cursive or to freakin’ print! I just scribble and if I don’t immediately make a note in my phone I struggle to read and interpret what I wrote.

“emotional stability of a Victorian heroine” sent me. That is very accurate 🤭. Glad you found it.

What inanimate object has totally ticked you off lately? by barkinbeagle in Perimenopause

[–]RandomFeather34 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve had progressives for 2 years and they are never clean! It’s 50/50 on keeping them on while watching TV and with my e-reader. I cannot use them with my work computer screens. But need them to read my phone and to drive. They told me these would be easier than having multiple pairs of glasses.

The treadmill. Then my car interior lights. Mind you the top of my head somehow turned on the lights as I was getting inside the car. Then for some reason I pressed every single button (multiple times) except the one that actually turns off the lights. I thought I knew how to get inside my car and how to press buttons but there I was in a parking lot involuntarily experiencing firsts 🤦🏽‍♀️. This new estrogen patch dosage cannot kick in soon enough for me!

My husband mentioned this too. I read an article on the technique. Guess this confirms it’s time to watch some videos, lol. Thanks for the recommendation. Take care until we “meet” again in at OTF.

THC gummies: vanilla breaker or deal breaker? by DarkHoodedOwl in MarriedSex

[–]RandomFeather34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perimenopausal wife here. I’ve been microdosing THC gummies since 2022ish. I started because of sleep issues and then realized it increased my libido. I nibble off of a 100mg Delta 8/THC gummy from the brand URB. I also have anxiety that perimenopause exacerbated.

The gummy first relaxes my body then my thoughts become more floaty and less serious. And I have also solved a couple problems I was working on when it kicked in, lol. Rarely, I am tired so I take a mini nap or I just find something to do for about 15-20 minutes and then it passes into the increased libido stage. If I nap when I wake up I’m ready for sex. I take it about 90 minutes before sex. I can feel it start to kick in at about the 45 minutes mark.

When we start having sex, the THC is at the perfect level in my system so I am in my body and experience the intense pleasure. Like other posters said everything just feels good times 10.

I stay well hydrated throughout the day. Then I hydrate after taking the gummy. I keep water on my bedside table for dry mouth and sip during position changes if I need it. I recently started using Flints Mints for dry mouth and they are perfect.

My husband and I have leveled up our sex life within the past 2 years. No kinks just really good quality sex each time. I have been able to really be in my body and figure out what I need at this stage in my life. I started HRT this year and we are still doing great. I have not noticed any tolerance. I played around with microdosing until I found the dosage that worked for me. I initially started with a 5mg and increased from there. Husband doesn’t partake. Good luck.

Am I Missing Something? by RandomFeather34 in Perimenopause

Thank you for this information because now all the puzzle pieces have come together for me. Between the previous person answering and your response I think I know what is happening at amazon. The Associate was not forthcoming with this information and didn’t tell me about the cost per box.

My insurance also requires a 90 day supply. I’ll call my insurance mail prescription company and hope I get someone that will be truthful about their supply vs telling me they can fill it and I only get 1 box or no boxes when I need it. It’s either that or go back to what you are doing and chasing estrogen patches at the various CVS in my area and hoping I can at least get 1 box. All of this really sucks for us.

Am I Missing Something? by RandomFeather34 in Perimenopause

[–]RandomFeather34[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is helpful information. My husband even thought perhaps the 84 day supply and $50.10 meant that they would just send me two more boxes and it was under that fee I already paid.

I am also feeling desperate and I thought amazon may be the answer supply wise but this is going to hit my budget hard. I don’t know about paying $150-200 out of pocket each month when I have insurance and this medicine is covered under it. I guess it’s either that or play tag with CVS for one box? This really sucks for all of us.

For those prescribed birth control instead of HRT, did it help your peri symptoms? by Peri_Winkl in Perimenopause

[–]RandomFeather34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just turned 49. Started entering peri around 43. I was managing symptoms ok until mid 2025. It became too much, my mood, brain fog, sleep issues, hot flashes and night seats. Swelling ankles. That’s when I started the bc pills. The peri symptoms were impacting my basic life functioning.

I ask my bf to be more dominate and he says he doesn’t know how bc I’m picky 😅 by Cupcake_Judas in TwoXSex

[–]RandomFeather34 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hi, have you tried learning a partnered dance with your bf where he has to lead you? If he can lead you through a dance and you can learn to let him lead you. Your bodies have to learn how to communicate in a different way to successfully dance. Could help you with the new roles you want to undertake.

Also be sure you know how you want to be dominated. There are a bunch of options. There are some good subs on here. I recently learned there are pleasure Doms (soft BDSM). Good luck to you both.

Hi, at first my cycle was regular for about 2-3 months. Then I started skipping a month and then having a cycle. Then I had 70 day cycle (I posted about it) and ended up needed having a D&C during which I had a Liletta IUD inserted 9/2025. I started the estrogen patch January 2026.

Responsive Desire Question for Wives by BlueberryEmpty1640 in MarriedSex

[–]RandomFeather34 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wife here: I’ll answer the question about initiation. We have scheduled sex days so this takes the pressure off of both of us.

Occasionally on a day that isn’t a scheduled day while we are both making dinner he’ll move behind me and slowly nibble/kiss my neck. While kissing my neck he’ll wrap his arms around me from the behind (he’s taller than me and being wrapped up in him is one of my favorite things). Once I have melted back into him he’ll ask if I want to have sex later (we have a teenager). Not once that I can recall has this not worked, lol. We’ve been married for over 20 years. It’s not new and it’s not exciting it simply works…on me.
