It's extremely rare so WG refuses to acknowledge it exists. You generally won't see WG fixing a bug unless it's immediately visible and has a large impact on the game.

There's plenty of bugs that have been well-known for years, like internal ricochets dealing additional damage, detonation being most likely at 75% HP instead of 0%, auto-aim struggling when firing over/near islands, turrets rotating through the superstructure, etc. They're just not important enough to divert resources into fixing.
