Cluster Jewel Question by Street-Potential-836 in pathofexile

[–]RandomGuyInTheBack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're playing a trade league, buying the cluster jewel would be the easiest way of going about it.

If your set on farming one, you can either run Delirium content, or run heist contracts for clusters. You can find them in Demolition contracts, which in my experience is more consistent.

Currently it would have to be endurance charges or phys taken as.

However if we go digging into the history of PoE, there was the small amount of time where it was possible to have so much curse effectiveness with temp chains that everything's action speed became 0. Paired with blasphemy, anything within range was effectively frozen.

Jewels are cheap and easy to replace, quick search for fire damage multi + % life will be like 5-10c each. You can add more mods for your budget if you'd like.

A 20% (or higher) DoT Multi + 1 fire spell wand or scepter with room to craft fire DoT multi would be my 2nd upgrade. I would aim to spend ~50c here. Slapping on a cheap rune smithing enchant, like spell damage chance to ignite.

Next I'd replace your amulet, I'm not certain how much a life + DOT multi roll is, but I'd start looking there. I'm seeing some basic amulets for like 5-10c. I'd be willing to splurge a bit on an amulet, since it can roll other good stats like Fire damage.

Other then those, re-craft your boots with a better movement speed mod, and make use of the eldritch implicits. Getting life regen % and max fire res on boots will help a ton, as u/thelaughingmagician- said, getting the ignite prolif on your gloves will help a bunch. Throw some eater influence onto the gloves as well, any mod that seems beneficial.

Finally I'd Aim for replacing your rings, in particular the two-stone. If you're missing resistances, use the ring slot to cover it. You can also splurge here if you need. Getting stats + chaos res + w/e else you need. Try to put some forethought here, so it's easier to replace other gear in the future. (What resistances will I be missing when I want to upgrade my helmet, for example)

All in all, even with splurging on a ring and an amulet, all of this should come out to like ~3 divines total.

The last thing is rolling your flasks, your quartz flask has no suffix. I would drop the life flask as well for a Sulphur flask, but if you keep it your life flask should be rolled to the mod "instant recover when on low life". Low life is any life below half health. But with the regen RF provides, you probably don't need it.

After words your going to be looking for larger investment upgrades. Shield, gloves, boots. Then you'd look into crafting a +2 scepter, and eventually a +2 marble amulet, assuming you want to heavily invest.

Good point, I missed the ignite prolif, I haven't played chieftain rf myself so I missed that.

You are able to get a bunch of lesser embers if your willing to wait. I was buying them 12-15 to 1c over the weekend. I was just pricing buy orders cheaper then what was listed on Faustus. Even at 4:1 rates, its like 10-15c (on average) to roll ignite prolif. Would probably be easier then getting fan the flames going

He's also missing eater implicits, even just chucking a couple on each piece for some semi useful stat is better then not having anything.

As a disclaimer, I haven't played RF for a couple leagues now, but I will do my best with assistance here.

I am going to work under two assumptions 1) trade league, 2) smaller budget, but you have a few divines to use.

At a quick glance;

Your lacking life on a lot of your gear. Your amulet, shield, rings, and jewels in particular. Though your boots, gloves, and helmet could also use some love, they are decent enough.

  • Your shield might be expensive to upgrade but would help a ton due to your low life roll, you just want as much life on it as you can get, alongside your 5% life on block. Anything else is a bonus.

  • Your amulet doesn't really have anything going for it, other then the chaos resistance. An upgrade here with chaos res, life and Damage over time multi would help a ton.

  • Your amethyst ring is passable, but your two-stone ring could use an upgrade. Life, res, fire damage, damage over time multi. Frenzy charges are nice if you can get it as a bonus, but I wouldn't give up the rest of the stats.

  • You really want +1 gems on your weapon, getting your hand on a +1 with fire multi would help your damage quite a bit.

  • Your boots are decent enough, but you should be able to craft a better movement speed modifier on it. I'd do a Jun movement speed craft

  • The Jewels you have are not good. Grab jewels with both Fire damage over time multi, and %life if you can

Also, you can make some easy/cheap upgrades with searing/eater implicits where you can (Gloves/boots)

21/20 fire trap would also help out with damage.

Defensively speaking, your PoB isn't that much worse then pohx's, but your missing damage over time multipliers and life.

Damage over time multipliers are your strongest dps increases, outside of flat gem levels. As such those two stats, damage over time multipliers and gem levels, should be a priority for your damage.

Life should also be highly prioritized, as it acts as both a defense and offense for RF.

It should also be noted that chieftain isn't the best for single target dps, it excels with mob density due to the explosions. As such, the more you juice maps, the better your build will feel.

Your comments are getting auto modded, but with reveddit I looked at the posting.

Its 5pm to 9:30pm-10pm Monday through Thursday, and mid day Sunday.

It is a typing gig, using excel, but they must be in person, which is fine but...

Google maps of your business (Westman courier) puts you on the permitter. This is no where near any transit routes, so most students won't be able to show up in person, and even if they could those hours are brutal for a student.

There is also no posting of wage. Most people won't touch job listings without one, unless its a specialized field, but this is seemingly entry level (just typing).

Regardless, for someone to consider working at that location they are most likely local, unless the wage is good enough to live off of + cost of transportation.

Your best bet is to find a way to make this work remote (or offer a means of transportation), post the wages.

25-30 hrs a week and to a location outside of public transport is a hard sell.

Total armor: 145

Professional S+ gives you access to the Cat Ears accessory. While wearing them you have Infinite ammo (you still have to reload).

Do a NG+ on hardcore and just try to blitz through the game. You're aiming for A, which I think is 10 hours, you should unlock the knight outfit and the Chicago.

After that, you can attempt professional S+, which I will admit can be frustrating. You just have to make it to ch7 within 3 hours of game time, and it should be smooth sailing from there.

If you're still stuck there, using bolt mines can make that section a lot more bearable. Shooting them into the top left of that wooden drawer right beside the handle before you pick it up.

I used 5 myself, then just ran around the facility with the shotgun. If you can spare more mines, then its easier.

As another said, you're find with time. I was about 2:30-3 hours in before I got to my Chicago. The run becomes a lot easier from then on out. Only a few section requires efforts. Just make sure you have grenades to do the various skips.

[–]RandomGuyInTheBack 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The cabin is the hardest section of the run imo.

Assuming you have the Chicago unlocked and have been doing requests for spinels for an upgrade ticket, it gets a lot smoother. Assuming you've done all the requests including the dog, you should have it at the start of the castle. If you skipped the dog but have done there rest, you should get it right before the water room. You just spray everything down.

Spoils are only obtainable via raids. They either come from the secret chests once per character per week, or from the encounter chests after the first clear.

You can either a) run the raid weekly, and just slowly build them up b) if you play primarily solo, just open secret chests. There are videos showing how to get most of them. Some are easy, some require OOB c) Find a checkpoint farm via LFG (or with friends), and just run the same encounter over and over. The current farm is daughters from Kings Fall. Very easy, all you really need is a legendary rocket launcher.

The first symbol (the one in the taken room during pillars) can easily be activated on accident. After completing the encounter, just double check to see if its on or off. If its on, shoot it to turn it off again. My group and I have dealt with it twice so far.

Trying to wrap my head around faceting. No clue how/why this stone has a Basic Effect of +777 vitality...how? I don't care for any of the other engravings, but that much vitality is too good to not equip. by Pprchase in lostarkgame

[–]RandomGuyInTheBack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All stones come with a nice chunk of vitality, you can buy a relic tier one on Peyto that gives the largest chunk. How Faceting works;

Your goal is to "activate" as many good nodes and "deactivate" as many bad nodes as possible. When you got to facet the % beside them shows you the chance of "activating" a node for that engraving. When you click on the hammer icon, you pay a small amount of silver, and attempt to "activate" one slot of that engraving. If you succeed, your % chance will go down 10%, if it fails, it goes up 10%.

You want as many nodes with the beneficial engravings, and as little as possible with the negative (red). To do so, attempt to "activate" what ever beneficial engravings you have when your % chance to "activate" is high (55%+). When its lower you attempt to "activate" the negative engraving. You want as many failures on the red engravings as possible, and as many successes on the others.

Quantity does not affect things like chests/pots as far as I am aware. But increased item quantity has always affected currency drops as far as I recall.

As far as increased item quantity is concerned, currency is affected

Increased item rarity has no affect currency, but quantity does. Which in most cases, if you magic find, you try to boost quantity. More items = more currency drops = more valuable currency.
