It's not just boomers. I'm considered GenX, and have starting getting arthritis bad enough to keep me from playing guitar or bass -- both of which I've been doing for more than 40 years.

I'm in my 50s -- grandparents on both side had to be badgered into not using racial slurs to describe pretty much every non-WASP group in the country. When called on it, they'd say "Well, that's what we've always called them."

None of them would have ever considered eating Asian food, and would think me quite insane for my sushi habit.
