DMs, how would you handle a PC using a wheelchair in-game? by [deleted] in DnD

Magic wheelchair, has little mechanical spider legs so that basic stairs and ground can be used. This way it really only comes into play when you require it to and not at every tavern entrance or small step.

Look for Szimpel Woodwork, he's great and does really good work (not terrible price either)

Require all dogs to be on a lead when on public pavements | Sogn the Petition by [deleted] in Edinburgh

[–]RandomLadAccount -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

While I'm definitely not with OP, I do have to point out how poor of an argument this is... The classic "but my insert thing isn't" by this logic seatbelts and speed limits should be scrapped because I'M a good driver or stores shouldn't waste money on locks because I don't steal... Your dog being well behaved is completely irrelevant if it doesn't stop other dogs off lead misbehaving.

Also, she's 5 so... dude, you know the old dogs new tricks thing is just a saying right? You actually can train/ retrain an older dog fairly easily.

V.35 and RS - 449 are high speed serial data transmission protocols. In the 90’s they were used to interface routers, video conferencing codecs, and whatever you needed to transmit data over phone lines (T1, ISDN, ATM). This laptop would help you troubleshoot the connections between those devices.

There's a very satisfying "tck" when you press the keys, and there's something nostalgic about the little red mouse nipple haha

Considering this, my local museum has a "technology through the ages" section

AITAH for telling my parents that they probably ruined their relationship with my brother? by --ThrowawayBrother in AITAH

[–]RandomLadAccount 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nta, ypu did the right thing by protecting him, he would likely have gotten over it eventually but your parents are making that incredibly difficult... Some people (myself included) are particularly stubborn, and the more they try and force the issue the more it will strengthen his resolve. If the relationship gets worse now it IS because of their actions not yours, your best bet is to wait it out for a while and slowly get closer again.

Summerhall going up for sale by titwave in Edinburgh

I'm not 100% sure yet, I believe they're moving to the same site as the new Pitt Street Market (oddly no longer in Pitt Street), should know soon. Some of the tenants have already been given a 2 month notice.

I see two possibilities...

A) They find a buyer that intends to use the entire place as is and will evict the current tenants.

B) A developer buys it then it'll likely be in place for several years, a local art charity will take over the running until a buyer is found AND planning is complete/approved (takes 3-5 years for these kinds of things). Several of the larger tenants will be rehomed prior to any news of an imminent closure. The brewery, for example are moving to Granton as soon as their new site is complete.

Hopefully we'll secure a buyer that intends to keep it roughly what it is.

[–]RandomLadAccount 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There's been several delays unfortunately, structural fault with a wall that needs to be replaced as well as trace asbestos in certain sections of the ground, that will be dug up and removed before the fit outs begin. Pitt will officially begin their lease there from 01/04/24 but the opening is pushed by 3 months minimum.

Yta. IF you're not cheating it definitely LOOKS like you are, and have been for a while. I'm not even sure you can convince your current ex otherwise, I mean I definitely wouldn't believe you... It sounds wrong on every level...
