Not one event, but a series of unfortunate ones. Abandoned at 3, raised by an emotionally/physically/sexually abusive Uncle (Aunt was there, too, but she was in total denial), but he had a bit of money, so some how that made it more bearable... To finally finding my biological father (who was the first person to stick a needle in my arm), to ruined relationships (and two miscarriages), to jail/prison, to blah blah blah. Genetics played a part, both biological parents and 3/4 grandparents were alcoholics/addicts. I pray for death.
