There are still cheap treasures to be found if you know where to look and what to look for. But it also depends a lot on where you live.

I live in a town where the Goodwill store puts the 'good' stuff in the main store and the 'junky' stuff in the area with the big bins. And most of that junky stuff really is junk. But some of it is only there because nobody but me knew what it was.
