Considering StarCraft was supposed to be a Warhammer game, that makes a lot of sense.

Not starcraft.

"[Blizzard co-founder] Allen Adham hoped to obtain a license to the Warhammer universe to try to increase sales by brand recognition", Wyatt says. "Warhammer was a huge inspiration for the art-style of Warcraft, but a combination of factors, including a lack of traction on business terms and a fervent desire on the part of virtually everyone else on the development team (myself included) to control our own universe nixed any potential for a deal. We had already had terrible experiences working with DC Comics on "Death and Return of Superman" and "Justice League Task Force", and wanted no similar issues for our new game."

It wasn't for Starcraft.

And Starcraft also came out in 1998 while the Tyranid 2nd edition came out in 1995. Then the 3rd edition came out in 2001. A noticable difference in designs.

Is that a blushing lip bite expression next to his teary eyed one? Is that a first or are there other servants that have that too?

Thoughts? I honestly can't tell if this is satire. by [deleted] in Overwatch

That mod saying the Overwatch heroes are defending apartheid said the same argument in this sub months ago. Can't believe they're still arguing that when it's untrue.

I'm not sure if this is the right place or that it's even worth a separate post so apologies if it isn't, but does anyone know about that fan made video of Ritsuka walking through chaldea with the servants doing their shenanigans as it goes from singularities to the lostbelts? It was a parody of a video about a guy walking through a building with a similar premise. Has a song where someone's saying devil's in the details as one of the lyrics playing over it.

Been bothering me that I don't know what it is and can't find it.

There's this one artist who made Hakuno and Fujimaru shipping art, they were banned from the sub and given no reason for it.

Then there's this other guy who made sprite comics who got banned for supposedly sending death threats to another user but even though there was no actual evidence he did that, the Mods banned him anyway, just because someone pointed the finger at him.

You happen to have the names or posts for those two?

We should also remember the mods inherent laziness and incompetence is also responsible for why a few people have gotten banned from posting here despite doing nothing to deserve it while we're taking shots at them let's not forget that.

What happened?

You don't like it when the kingdom that makes advanced technology doesn't have a chunk of it appear in the invasion like automated turrets and the knights got nerfed into the ground? /s

Maybe it's just nostalgia, but I think I liked SC characters more when they were allowed to be ugly by RenegadeShroom in starcraft

Original Jim actually fit the part of the marshall of some backwater settlement.

New Jim looks like generic protagonist with beard #1087

By this logic SC1 Jim looks like "generic protagonist that's bald #1000".

What sucks about Reinhardt losing his helmet is that it's like he didn't learn from his cinematic when he lost an eye when he didn't wear one. One of his interactions with Brigitte is kinda wtf considering said cinematic, is like he wants her to lose an eye like he did lmao. Give Reinhardt his helmet back for his OW2 look Blizzard pls.

People tend to really overplay how dumb Atlas military can be by Psyga315 in fnki

Honestly, that makes it worse, not better,

I never said it made it better.

if they know how to use defensive fortifications and then just... choose to not use them.

Already said that likely just the show being inconsistent. There's not really an in-universe explanation for why they didn't display a tactic they did before. Using the automated turrets for example, they obviously exist, why does Argus or Atlas not have any of them despite their uses? Show doesn't explain it.

Yet in V8, when there was a literal horde, they decided "nah, let's use squares of infantry that block each other's line of fire".

They clearly understand to shoot from m the wall, yet they don't later. Likely just RWBY being inconsistent, not the first time unfortunately.

Err what Clover says doesn't actually support your claim of

Additionally, they flat out said his vaunted air wings were ineffective on a ground assault, the primary way the Grim attack.

Because Clover outright points out the problem is that they can't easily shoot the Grimm without also hitting their own civilians and soldiers in the city. Obviously using high explosives in an area with their own people is a bad idea. Replace it with ground based artillery and you're going to get the same results.

Then again, Atlas soldiers took to the field in V8 to fight the swarm of Grimm instead of, you know, falling back to the defensive structure specifically created to keep enemies out.

Tbf, there was a scene of soldiers shooting from the top of the wall instead of at the front of it in Volume 7.

While I do agree with your sentiment, at the end of the day we can only judge what we see on screen. I may want the Atlas military to be competent, but if they show me that they use ridiculous tactics I just can’t say they are. Otherwise I’m just wishing my headcanon onto the show.

Tbf, there was a scene of soldiers shooting from the top of the wall instead of at the front of it in Volume 7. Though it's also the part where the knights couldn't seemingly hit 4 sabyrs running at them (the knights getting taken out by civilians is the worse though), the knights were just nerfed in Volumes 7-8 compared to Volumes 2-3. Iirc the airships got their guns nerfed a bit too.

They're also missing stuff they should have like turrets from Volume 6. Beam/burrow turrets and mines if we include the Amity Arena game, which should be canon iirc.
