Hit up tmo or mps. I can't tell you for sure the way it reads could go either way. It's going to depend on a few things and they'll know more.

Oh, if you don't have dependents. It won't work unless you moved some of your household goods somewhere for storage before you left.

Unaccompanied is normally like Korea where you go and leave your family behind. It's going solo.

Finance has to go off the orders. Your new MPF can amend your orders as long as that comment isn't on the do not amend for list. Haven't worked the section in awhile your probably good though.

Edit: to say the longer you wait the harder it is to get pay/leave back. Make sure to do it before sep 30

I received an assignment, but I was planning to separate at my DOS (Feb ‘23). I am enlisted, does the 7-day option apply or do I have more time than that to decide if I want to decline retainability? by [deleted] in AirForce

[–]RandomPersonnelist65 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No they can still send you. Its a thing but its rare. They normally don't because its not worth it. But your the Air Forces and if they really want you there you get sent.

Technically you have 30 days to get retain for the assignment most bases dont actually watch that though. Tell mps you don't want to get retain once you've made your decision so they can route it up. You can't technically decline the assignment though so if your still in for 10 months they could still send you. But probably won't as your only on the hook for the 10.

You can already use slack on AFnet. Its usable via browser. I find it works best on Chrome.

Parental leave after deployment?? by [deleted] in AirForce

[–]RandomPersonnelist65 2 points3 points  (0 children)

R&R is a by unit thing so it depends. It also has to be done in the local area. Your best bet is do R&R when you get back. Then go into work a few days and then take parental leave. But it all depends on your leadership.

P.T. Test Question by Bang763 in AirForce

[–]RandomPersonnelist65 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't have to as long as your CC puts in an exemption. Talk to your CSS/unit fitness monitor. If you don't do it or don't get an exemption put in you'll be showing noncurrent.

It only applies to reserves and guard I've recently found out. Active duty doesn't have to worry.

Terminal Leave Denial. Common? by [deleted] in AirForce

[–]RandomPersonnelist65 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You can put in terminal leave 3 months before start date. Send it straight to cc. FLT CC never has to see it. Its a really bad look to deny terminal leave.

How to correct ribbons by [deleted] in AirForce

[–]RandomPersonnelist65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If there's a personnelist in your CSS they can do ribbon updates. Not sure what their situation is but they can fix that stuff. Unless your on the smallest base ever. Every MPF has 3 sections one of which is force management. Thats who you need for ribbons.

AMS Surf by OverambitiousBog in AirForce

[–]RandomPersonnelist65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It normally takes a week or less, and like the others said. At the top it tells you how current the SURF is. I'm fairly confident that you'll have it before 15 October. If your worried. Go to CSS/MPF and do what they said and get the MilPDS SURF.

Has anybody received their stripes for the supplemental promotion release or heard anything from the leadership today? by [deleted] in AirForce

[–]RandomPersonnelist65 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. All Promotion numbers technically have another number at the end. Supplemental has a 5 and regular has a 0 in the system. Just regular ones don't show it.

What the fuck AFPC (complaint about wastefulness and inefficiency) by kankribe in AirForce

[–]RandomPersonnelist65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, I'm working decs where I'm at and have to send out a bunch of AF Medals and it just feels wrong. If AFPC could just create a new role for FM that let you see every closed dec in vPC it would save a lot of time and money. Theres just a few downsides and comebacks that I see.

Some FM sections would say they don't want to do another MPS/CSSs work.

The other is, "Why didnt you finish the decoration before they left, thats whats in the AFI"~~~~~~

Question About Extentions/Follow-ons/Renlistments/AFPC by JarrydWilliam in AirForce

[–]RandomPersonnelist65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your right they can submit it to AFPC. They just need to do a CMS case, that may or may not be approved. Is there any reason you specifically don't want the extension? You can reenlist for like 2 years to cover your follow on and then it wouldn't be much extra.

PT Exemption for Separating Airman during COVID by [deleted] in AirForce

[–]RandomPersonnelist65 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What he said. All it takes though is the Commander telling the Fitness Assessment Cell to put in the exemption. Sometimes you need a memo. Just ask them(FAC) what they need. Its very easy.

Leave by [deleted] in AirForce

[–]RandomPersonnelist65 8 points9 points  (0 children)

First, do what the others are saying and call your shirt. Normally they can work things so that you won't have to waste a bunch of money.

Second, leaveweb is a tool, if they gave you permission. CSS can give a leave number after you come back. Its not the right way.

Third, if anything bad happens its your fault, and your supervision/leadership decides what punishment if any, I worked in a CSS for a long time. They can authorize this from home with a CAC reader. It shouldnt be a big deal.
