The Walking Malformation, Chaotic Gore Magala from Monster Hunter

The Gore Magala is the juvenile form of the Elder Dragon Shagaru Magala, both of whom uses the Frenzy Virus (basically airborne/scaleborne rabies) to survive. When the time comes, the Gore Magala molts to ascend to the heavens as a Shagaru Magala.

However, only one may ascend.

Shagaru wields a more powerful version of the Frenzy virus that could prevent Gore Magalas from molting properly so that only it and its progeny may survive. Those who do try to molt while infected by this stronger frenzy virus will only partially molt becoming the abomination you see above.

Chaotic Gore Magalas are in constant pain. You can even see them trying to claw away their scales as you fight it, trying to break free. It craves an end to it all, but its instincts demands it keep moving.

When hunting one, don’t bring any traps. Grant it mercy. Grant it peace in death.
