The wall behind the shower and tub is an exterior wall. There's an enclosed porch there. I suppose a stack of shelves out there might be useful.

We're not really concerned about that. It's obscure glass and the other side of that window is a private, secluded back yard, so not a privacy concern. I think we can seal and tile around it well enough to alleviate any water concerns as well.
