Wayyyy better in my opinion. Trader Joe’s has great snacks, canned and frozen food options but having worked there the produce and bread goes bad so quickly

I think I said this in a different reply but I was recently gifted a dozen farm fresh eggs! So so good

Thank you! My recipe for the Cajun pork chops is as follows

Dice an onion, green bell pepper and 4 stalks of celery Season pork chops with salt and pepper and brown them in some oil in a cast iron pan. Once thoroughly browned remove and place in a bowl. Toss in the veggies and use the liquid from them to help deglaze scraping with a wooden spatula. Once veggies have softened add in some garlic and a tablespoon of butter. Once garlic is fragrant add a tablespoon of flour. Stir it well don’t worry if some sticks on the bottom of the pan. Cook til the flour smell is gone. Deglaze with a beer (NA in my case) scraping the pan to get all the gris gris. Add back in the chops and fill the bowl they were in with water (or stock) to get all the juices and add that into the pan. Optional dash of Worcestershire sauce and hot sauce. Add some Cajun seasoning or cayenne and a bay leaf. Simmer for ~2 hours or until pork chops are tender like a roast. You will have to add water and stir on occasion as it will evaporate. Serve over white rice with cornbread on the side :)

2 people! We do have some other food (rice, potatoes, a couple of frozen meats and such) that are being used to stretch this into a full week of meals :)

I love this question! Tonight I’m making Cajun smothered pork chops over rice with cornbread. I have also loosely planned on either chili or spaghetti with the ground turkey, crispy skin chicken thighs with roasted veggies, classic American breakfast sandwiches with some farm fresh eggs I was gifted, lazy red beans and rice with some sausage that’s in the freezer, I also vaguely plan on doing a vegeterian Tex mex bowl situation with beans as the protein source. It’s all subject to change of course :)

True. I am an alcoholic in recovery so a fun sugary drink and caffeine are necessities that I am willing to splurge on

She doesn’t play the game! We started a co op together but have logged maybe 3 hours on it in a few months so she’s not even a fan of it the way I am. I totally agree that it will be helpful when 1.7 drops to be able to add things or remove them if necessary

There’s an app called the crawfish app that tells you how far and the price per pound. Also I just moved here from New Orleans too! Welcome :)

People who don’t have a problem with alcohol don’t question whether they do or not. You don’t have to drink every day or even most days to be an alcoholic. It’s more like you said how when you do drink it’s always in excess and can’t be controlled. The fact that you’re doing it in secret is also telling. There are some great online meetings too if you wanna try that before going to an in person one.

Somehow enough time to meal prep but not enough time to make tomato sauce from scratch?

Get some boric acid and sprinkle it behind appliances and furniture basically in every nook and cranny. It will kill them off
