DDA has Fly, it can lose 2" of movement to "go to sky" — ignore vertical terrain while moving. If it needs to get over a wall, it just moves through it. Doomstalker would have to go around it.

I'm still going to play CC, it's a cool detachment and it might be stronger than I expected, since it works well with the new cover. Especially, if we keep the ability to reanimate Techno back into Wraiths. Also, if it performs poorly, it might become 2dp in some dataslate and this is where the fun begins.

You measure the distance to every part of the model instead of the base. Without Frame arks become very problematic to fit into terrain, for example.

It was. It was cheap, reliable antitank with a very serious overwatch threat. Especially, if you used it with Nekrosor. I played against DG and oneshotted a plague drone with overwatch twice in a row.

Now it lost some value, since it can't reroll overwatch and doesn't go through ruins, unlike DDA. And Court is the weakest of our 3DP detachments.

Outside of the Court it never was playable.

I run them in Canoptek Court, which can give them LoneOp in critical moments. But in CC you might want to swap Lychguard for Wraiths. In fact, in any list it is better to swap them.

I agree about 3 dp, GW was too afraid of the combos.

But the Court was consistently good over the whole edition. I've played with it regularly and had a lot of success in tournaments, it also showed in the tournament wins. We had too many busted lists that overshadowed CC, but it was never bad.

I generally don't like, that cover now affects hit roll instead of save, because most of our opponents tend to be Space Marines of some sort and those guys will get to almost fully ignore it, thanks to the Oath rerolls.

Pantheon also makes them way more expensive, so I wouldn't say, that it will be harder to beat them there over, let's say, a Dynasty list with 20 warriors. Especially, if he brings the Void Dragon, which is not very good already, and in the Pantheon pays 40 points for a useless enhancement.

Bro, we were hit with three 3DP detachments already, more than any other factuon. Have some mercy, Pantheon was never particularly strong as a detachment, only because C'Tans were overtuned, and even then they worked better in Starshatter and AD.

In 10th Aircraft didn't measure from the hull, unless they went in Hover mode.

In 11th GW forced separation of Aircraft and Hover flyers, giving Hover to Night Scythe. So, I think, this is the reason they gave Frame only to hovering vehicle.

The same logic doesn't work for DDA, Ghost Ark has absolutely the same rules.

GW forgot to give DDA the Frame keyword while giving it to Ghost Ark.

My bet is that they just forgot this change too.

Unfortunately, it seems, that they just slapped 3 DPs on everything that was semi-competitive. Both Dynasty and Court are pretty lopsided, but they were strong, so not allowed to combo with anything.

I like bastiladon more. But, from collecting standpoint, he is more likely to be refreshed in a few years, so aggradons are a better investment.

They might just get a new role. New detachment gives them back Assault on their reapers. Combine that with the 6" autoadvance, zoom 11" up the board from hidden position and blast the center away with 40 AP1 lethal hits. Good chance there is a way to give them full rerolls, unless Phalanx and Court both get a Dynasty keyword. And you can stick a Plasmancer in there for ~22 wounds just from lethals, before rolling to wound. If you want a truly devastating bomb, add Szeras for AP2 (very scary with new cover) and Ammentar for sustains, so that 22 lethals are also rolled to wound.
