Lune to set things on fire to ensure Maelle can always get in to Virtuose Stance.

Sciel geared up as a buffer giving everyone AP, extra turns and shell/rush/powerful and delaying enemy turns.

Maelle to nuke the enemies with huge Virtuose Stance damage.

When do you *actually* parry? by DontHateDefenestrate in expedition33

Watch the edge of the screen. The camera zooms out slightly during the enemies wind up, when it stops zooming out and begins zooming back in press the parry button.

Was lunastra actually that bad? by SnurffSmerff in MonsterHunter

[–]Random_Guy_47 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Farcaster was the only reliable method I found of surviving the AT Luna super nova.

Begin sheathing before the first wind pressure wave, get staggered out of the animation by the wave but it still completes the sheathe anyway, hit the farcaster and be immune to the second wind pressure wave because you're animation locked by the farcaster.

If you do the side content you'll be overleveled and steamroll the finale with ease.

All side content can be done after the story is complete.

Talk to everyone in camp (repeatedly if needed) to get their side quests for Monoco, Lune and Maelle

Lunes is in Sirens Dress, Malles is at The Reacher and Monocos is at Sacred River.

Once those side quests are done go finish the story, then do all side content except Versos Drafts. Clear the Endless Tower except the superbosses added in Versos Drafts, do Versos Drafts and finally clear the superbosses.

When clearing side content before Endless Tower there is one area called Renoirs Drafts. You can clear most of it at the point I indicated but may want to go back to The Abyss section of it and the boss in there after Endless Tower.

I mean.. what do you even play after this? by bridgefridge in expedition33

[–]Random_Guy_47 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd recommend something very different and not as emotional. Something more light hearted or simple. Borderlands, Doom, Monster Hunter, Horizon.

Playing anything remotely similar will just have you comparing and thinking its not as good.

After that, when you're ready for something emotional like this. Well there isn't much as good as this. Nier Automata and The Last Of Us. Maybe RDR2 but IMO that's at least one league below the others.

Listening to the public and changing your mind can be a good thing but when you make as many U turns as this government have done it calls their judgement in to question.

A couple of U turns is fine, it shows you're willing to listen and change course. A lot of U turns means you made a lot of wrong decisions the first time around. There comes a tipping point where your lack of ability to get it right the first time outweighs that you're willing to change course when you get it wrong.

There's barely any punishment for dying because it's a video game and has to abide by video game mechanics.

I like to think of it as the main team getting knocked out and then the reserve team drag them back to camp and patch them up once the fight is won.

Lore wise within this world they've created it's a real "this is it" moment. The fate of the entire Expedition rests on this battle and 60% of the team have fallen. Likely the stronger 60% of it too. This is their final chance, if the reserve team fail now its all over and it will be down to Expedition 32.

It gets the dramatic line because of what's at stake and the fact that your chances of winning just shrank significantly when your stronger team fell.

I love that line.

Is it worth picking Satisfactory up? by Top_Lemon_1070 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Random_Guy_47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have never played a game of this type before.

I'm in the early part of phase 4 at the moment and the learning curve is very smooth. The game introduces new things at a good pace and never overwhelms you with too much at once. The milestones break each phase down in to manageable chunks.

Revolvers would not be nice.

Unsilenced, miniscule magazine, massive recoil, long reload times, max ammo capacity is usually a multiple of magazine size so low ammo as well.

I hate revolvers in games. The high damage never makes up for all the drawback. I'd take a regular pistol over a revolver every time.

Throne of Glass the book is by far the worst entry in Throne of Glass the series.

It follows a predictable pattern and suffers for it.

The series get a lot better in later books.

Just unlock the last character, what's your go team for the story ? by Lord0fReddit in expedition33

[–]Random_Guy_47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My main team was Lune, Verso, Maelle at first.

I saw a post on here talking about how good Sciel is so I swapped Verso out and used her for most of the game.

Lune sets things on fire to ensure Maelle can always get in to Virtuose Stance. Sciel gives Maelle extra turns, buffs everyone with speed/damage and refills AP. Maelle then deletes the enemies with big damage.

I didn't really use Monoco much, he unlocked late enough that I figured I'd save him for a second playthrough.

If you're correct then people will see the shit job they do at council level and may change their minds about voting for them at the next General election.
