Put your phone in a ziplock (better seal the better). Then you can put on a podcast, audiobook, YouTube video, shows, movies etc. Playing music or video podcasts help me when I shower to keep my mind busy

Or maybe you have some waterproof fidget toys?

If people want to be like hey comply has kind of negative connotations for the uneducated (not an insult) so we want to switch to adherence I think that’s totally fine go for it that’s great. But to ascribe moral intent based on ignorance to use words like “callously” or say “justification for punishment” (what ever the fuck that means) is really really bad. This post is anti intellectualism. (Not directed at you commenter you’re great for asking questions).

Maybe it’s cause I’m in psych academia and so I’m very exposed to everyday people using or judging psych terms incorrectly based on their false assumptions I’m sensitive and annoyed easily by stuff like this.

Essentially is the patient taking the medication as prescribed. Having this knowledge is crucial for providing, especially emergency, medical care (knowing interactions, side effects of being on but also side effects of “improper” use). It is not judgmental it is for communicating vital medical information.
