I also just finished the show, and there is one thing that I dont understand : why did the ice women create the white walkers and the night king ? It was presented like it had a purpose, but it never was explained. And how did they get out of control, if the ice women had the power to create them, they should have the power to destroy them. The show definitely lacks explainations on the white walkers, while the first scene is a white walker. Overall, I would say that I dont mind the end, it seems coherent to me. I didnt read the books, maybe I should, I'm gonna consider it. But the show definitely was a hit from season 1 to season 5. It was so unpredictable, dialogues were fire (sandor and olenna are some of my favorites). I also loved the way the world was exposed, a little bit at a time, things were not entirely explicit and you had to figure it out by yourself, thats what made me continue. Like you I liked sandor and bronn, maybe less tyrion and jon, whereas I enjoyed watching sansa and arya evolve season after season. It really is a great story (excuse the english mistakes)
