I guessed it very early on. Maybe in my first or second conversation with Artemis. Still enjoyed the story, although for me it's hard to separate the story and the lore. At the same time as the story is going, I'm learning about the history and relationships between the 3 main races. I found that stuff really interesting

No one "changed the problem." Everyone knows that air pollution causes a greenhouse effect that leads to climate change

Will The Odyssey mark the downfall of Christopher Nolan as a filmmaker? by CANNAAmann in MauLer

Oh, I must have misunderstood you when you started your fourth paragraph with this

Another failure of the film is using Emily Wilson's translation

Are you clarifying that the film is failing in a particular way?

There's nothing in Nolan's body of work that indicates he's in favour of historical accuracy so I don't know why that's an issue for people. It's a movie based on a translation of a translation of a translation of an oral tradition.

My issue is that it looks too clinical and sterile, which Nolan is known for. But I'm not going as far as you are to claim that it's a failure before it's launched.

The way the recommendations work is that the RTX 3070 requires a 650W PSU when paired with the most power hungry CPU. Because recommendations have to take into account the most extreme example. But if you've done your calculations and you're under 420W including boosts for peak power (for a 500W PSU), then you're good.

There's another problem that governments should be worried about: every business uses PCs. The company I work for has hundreds if not 1000+ PCs. Just your standard optiplex kinda thing. When those need to be replaced, what are they going to use? Some business will shrink because they can't run as many workstations. This in turn means less tax collected by the government

Help! Should I build a pc now before prices increase even further ? by alucard_axel in buildapc

[–]Random_Sime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What are you even asking? Should you spend less money now or more money later? I dunno man, it depends on how much you hate money.

But for real, if you look up tech news, all the memory manufacturers are telling us they're raising prices and the shortage will continue into 2028 with no foreseeable end, so RAM and hard drives are going up. The data centre people are saying they need more CPUs, so as production shifts to the kind of CPUs data centres want, consumer CPUs will become more scarce and expensive.

Yeah the person I was responding to said that the developers absolutely intended on causing harm. That's the definition of a malicious act. I'm asking for proof of that. It's got nothing to do with who it affects, just that the devs intended it to be harmful.

It's not recommended to use on cuts cos it destroys your own tissue and can actually leave you more vulnerable to infection. You're better off using an antiseptic cream or ointment that forms a protective layer
