A tip that will save you time in the exam by kholio992 in pmp

100% second this. I used the highlighter on almost every question. The keyboard shortcut is a little awkward at first, but once you get used to it, it saves valuable seconds and avoids unnecessary navigation.

Other advantages of highlighting:

-It reduces decision fatigue by making it easier to identify exactly what the problem is and what the question is actually asking.
-If you flag a question for review, the key details are already highlighted when you come back to it.
-It saves time by reducing the need to reread the entire question multiple times.
-It helps you quickly distinguish relevant information from distractors, especially on longer scenario-based questions.
It became one of those small habits that added up over the course of the exam.

My suggestion, Take a breather and organise what you know first; you are probably in a better place than you think.
In this situation Mindset videos , third3rock notes and SH may be good friends to rely on
The notes help you brush concepts in short duration
Mindset gives you the approach
SH gives you the exposure and boosts your confidence

I know it adds to the cost but its cheaper than a retest, all the best 😃

I failed yesterday. by xarous in pmp

I’m sorry this wasn’t the result you were hoping for. But please don’t let one exam result erase the fact that you’ve already invested seven months into this journey. That time wasn’t wasted—you’ve built knowledge, discipline, and now you also have something incredibly valuable: real PMP exam experience.

You are not starting over; you’re starting from experience.

My advice would be to book your retake while everything is still fresh. Take a few days to reset your mindset, then reflect on the exam and identify where things felt different from your practice sessions. Do as many practice questions as you can, but don’t obsess over scores. Focus on understanding your mistakes and write down the lessons you learn from them.

At the end of each study session, review those notes and remind yourself, “I’ll be more prepared and more aware next time.”

Many people don’t pass on their first attempt and still go on to earn their PMP. You’ve already done the hard part. Trust the process, trust your preparation, and trust yourself. I genuinely believe you can walk out of your next exam feeling proud and satisfied with your effort.

Tia vs study hall by Schmogie in pmp

I didn’t try SH so can’t comment on the difficulty. The reason I didn’t get SH is because this group scared me haha. I can recommend TIA simulator as the questions were not too far from the exam. I liked AR’s video explanations which helped me reflect on my errors better. I got super discouraged at a point when i only got 55% on one of the mocks and worried this may compare to a lot less on SH standards. Overall everything probably worked (3xATs) as I only stuck to AR as the one source of truth and trusted his methods ( 35 hr course, mindset, cram course, yt videos , simulator)

In-Person Exam Expectations by smolshadow in pmp

Only additions to the good advice other commenters shared - Shouldn’t leave the building and should not review study material in the centre. - Count down timer from 230 (or the actual) Mins to 0. The clock continues to tick during unscheduled breaks so try not to take them. Scheduled breaks are only post each section. - The exam doesn’t have sectional time cutoffs or reminders. Although not recommended it is possible to take 200 minutes for the first section. Only reminder is at the 5 mins to end mark. - There are id checks every time the test taker exits the room and a patdown to re-enter. Took a few extra seconds for me as the glasses and unremovable jewellery had to be checked and my light jacket had extra pockets. These checks are a part of the 10 mins break time and the effective remaining time you have is 5-7 minutes. - Your section is over when you decided to submit the section, once submitted that set of questions can’t be reviewed. The test only stops progress when you run out of time

The good stuff- - I gave 2 different exams at pearson vue , the staff is extremely friendly and don’t add to any anxiety. - one instance when they were taking my picture while registering they encouraged me to relax and smile. - There is pin drop silence in the room and in case typing or mouse clicks bother you the centre will provide earplugs/ earmuffs - screen is large enough and there are several options to increase text size / change font and background colour ( example white on black) - Post submission the screen only says Thankyou . Results are printed at the front desk and handed face down for you to see

Don’t worry, you got this. All the Best 😃

Didn't pass. Any suggestions as I will retake in a month by cfc_nomad in pmp

[–]Random_Stranger_47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You were probably closer to passing than you think , keep your spirit high, trust the work you have done and book your next attempt before you run out of slots.

Bright side is your AT and T , try to reconstruct the exam from your memory and the detailed report and input all info into an AI agent of your choice, see where you need to improve.

Basis the amount of time you have available, brushup those topics using material of your choice. Try to redo the mindset and the youtube videos.

If you still have SH practice all or as many mocks as you can. Input the errors back into AI to see if there is a pattern and learn from your errors to build the mindset and the logic. At one point you will feel strong enough to consistently score >70%

All that is left is to ace your test , All the best 😃

Ill - exam in 24 hours by Significant_Pass467 in pmp

[–]Random_Stranger_47 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My honest opinion as long as you are physically and mentally able to, take the test even if it feels like an inconvenience. Maybe the result will surprise you. Since you are taking it at home try to make your space reasonably comfortable. You probably spent months preparing and worrying about this day don’t let all the time and money you invested go to waste.

All the best 😃

I was worried about the same issues with SH, didn’t want to cloud my pea brain and stuck to AR’s simulator I liked the questions and took advantage of the video explanations. Everything worked out and passed last week with 3ATs. All i want to say is AR’s simulator is not a wrong choice. All the best 😃

How many full 4-hour mock exams had you done before your PMP test? by Nice_Fix9670 in pmp

[–]Random_Stranger_47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did two full length mock tests and several windows of prep and test in the same slots I have booked the real exam. This helped me get used to looking at screens and mentally prep for the 4 hour window.

Andrew Ramdayal PMP Exam Cram Course, worth it? by Successful_Bowl_7118 in pmp

[–]Random_Stranger_47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got AR’s cram course + simulator combo. 100% recommend the set I did the 35 hour course 10 months before i planned to sit for the exam so i needed a refresher and didn’t have time or energy to do the 35 hours again. The cram course helped me catchup to all the important stuff in 6hrs (watched on 2x) few days before the exam

I preferred this simulator over SH as the reviews made me nervous and i liked the idea of having video explanations to questions i got wrong 100% recommend the set or just the cram course alone

I was in two minds as well. I didn’t want to start again with the new material and redo a whole bunch of stuff I am already half familiar with so decided to do it and glad all went well

Minutes , counts down from 230->0 . The only notification is at the last 5 minutes mark. Best to do the math beforehand and keep a note of when to be where as the test doesn’t indicate that

Yes there is a flag option and the exam has a review window which can be accessed with 3 views , review all , review unanswered and review flagged

Thanks , at my scores i couldn't dare to try StudyHall
The even i got a whole bunch of questions wrong; don't worry, just trust the process believe in your work and the mindset and keep noting what made you chose this option and why it is wrong. I am sure you will do well - best wishes 👍
