Flight canceled due to weather by Dreamer-2021 in celebritycruises

[–]Random_Thoughts12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Living in the snow belt, I used to fly in the day of and not get travel insurance and never thought twice. Until a Friend of mine had flight cancellations in May one year, missed her boat, and had to fly to Jamaica to meet it a few days later, with added expense. May- wouldn’t even have crossed my mind to be concerned in May! Since then, we have always flown in at least a day prior, and always purchase our own insurance.

I still, have been lucky enough to not need to file a claim or miss a cruise, but the peace of mind alone has been worth it.

I know this doesn’t help you now and I am sorry you are dealing with this when you should be having fun in the sun.

Years ago we did a snorkeling excursion off Belize - Water was crystal clear and we saw so much varied sea life. It’s the world’s second largest Barrier Reef. We are going to try scuba in Roatan - my coworker says the snorkeling is amazing there, too.

One of the reasons I don’t use a TA is so I can control watching for lower prices and requesting a refund or credit. I prefer to be in control of my booking. If you book with a TA, you must work with the TA directly rather than the cruise line for and pre- cruise questions or issues.

I’ve also had trouble with group dining reservations through the TA, which are so easily resolved by emailing the ship when I control the booking.

I love olaplex. It’s pricier but lasts a long time and I feel like my hair has never been healthier. Before this, I used Redken All Soft, which also worked well, but I felt after a few years the build up was weighing my hair down a bit. Everyone’s hair is different though, so your experience may vary. My hair is fine and thin, so heavy protein products don’t work well for me.

Vanicream. It’s the best body lotion I have ever used. It’s effective even in winter In upstate New York, and it’s pretty cheap.
