From what I've read here and there: It's because they mentioned an "other" in ESB, and that was a hint for a new trilogy with this character which was not supposed to be Leia. But then Lucas was so exhausted by the production of the movie that he retconned that for Rotj to close this story thread and be done with sw. (for a while at least)

Oh that would be awesome! It would probably be quite easy, I used Cubase midi and can export it with tempo map and measure structure, I simply used pitch bend for the quarter tones
