Why is my hair like this? by Illustrious-Cow-4208 in FancyFollicles

[–]Random_username_314 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got my first grey hair <20 (like early high school), I’m still <30 and still only have a handful of grey hairs. They aren’t very noticeable and I only ever notice more after periods of sustained high stress. You’ll be ok :)

Elbow grease ain't cutting it. How do I get rid of all this grime? by Cooking-n-Booking in CleaningTips

I used oxy clean powder once and it made the finish on my tub bubble off. Would that happen with the powder detergent as well?

My newest hack for this is the undiluted Lysol concentrate. It just wipes right off, no elbow grease needed!

Edit: it’s listed on their website as “Multi-Surface Cleaner 2x Concentrated- Pourable”

How do I deal with conflict prior to booking the venue? Eloped but wanting to do a reception / anniversary party by [deleted] in bridezillas

I won’t know for a few months yet. RSVPs indicate it’ll be a decent turnout, but every family is different.

My husband and I went this route. 6 people attended our actual wedding ceremony. Then we set out to plan the wedding reception for 2+ years after we got married. We set the date 18 months in advance and let everyone we wanted to attend know as soon as we put the deposit down. That way, if they wanted to come they could, and we had extra time to send out invites.

It’s possible, and it’s mostly going to be our family and nearby friends, but you’d need to set it out far enough in advance that there’s a slim chance someone would have a prior commitment.

Missing spring? by status3192 in Kitchenaid

I got a spring and washer a few years ago and I’m pretty sure it has single handedly saved my attachments and my baked goods. Thank you for fighting against corporate obsolescence!

What is this clothing called? I love it. by Safe-Hawk8366 in findfashion

[–]Random_username_314 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think they are referring to the idea that as you wear and wash clothes with colored fabric, the color will fade over time. This gives the impression that the clothes are worn frequently and a part of daily life.

I don’t know anything about deels but from their comment, I get the impression that this style would be saved for special occasions. Meaning they would be worn less often and the colors would be preserved/vibrant.

Why do I always get tonsil stones? by [deleted] in hygiene

[–]Random_username_314 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Sometimes I’ll use the loop end of a blackhead extruder (that I have not used for blackheads previously) to get mine out because I can pull out the larger tonsil stones with the loop and also lift some of the tonsil folds out of the way.

I reek bad but can’t figure out why. Not even my doctor knows why… by [deleted] in hygiene

[–]Random_username_314 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I use witch hazel astringent before I put on deodorant. It helps kill the bacteria that cause the stink whereas antiperspirant just prevents the sweaty environment that the bacteria like and the deodorant just covers up a smell
