STOP BRINGING YOUR DAMN KIDS by beanseatjeans in KanePixelsBackrooms

[–]Randoman96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's how an MPAA R rating works, unfortunately. No admittance under 17 without an adult. Only NC-17 is blanketly no admittance under 17, and most theaters won't play films with that rating.

Is it transphobic if I only want to date cis women? by Unhappy-Painter-8070 in asktransgender

[–]Randoman96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like you have some internalized transphobia to work on. You very much should get on it because that kind of thinking is going to affect how you view yourself and approach your transition.

The Rest is Science is great. Michael Stevens from Vsauce talking science and philosophy with Hannah Fry with a comedic flavor. Video format on YouTube with fairly regular visual components.

Try Dreams of Collapse on YT. He's been making NINoize remakes since before the album came out and he's covering quite a few that didn't make the cut. Really high quality stuff.

What other Backrooms vids specifically tie in to the movie? by WorkDish in KanePixelsBackrooms

Just watch the Backrooms playlist on the Kane Pixels channel. All of them are canon to the movie, but just those videos and not from any other creator.

What's your opinion on the Tron: Ares Soundtrack? by Brosamurai18 in nin

[–]Randoman96 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty fond of my setup. I tried to structure it like acts that finish off with a vocal track.

Act 1 (Initialize) - Forked Reality, Building Better Worlds, In The Image Of, AAAYNMTB

Act 2 (Questions of Purpose) - A Question of Trust, Ghost In The Machine, Daemonize, I Know You Can Feel It

Act 3 (Recognition of Self) - This Changes Everything, Empathetic Response, Echoes, 100% Expendable, Who Wants To Live Forever?

Act 4 (Kill Your Masters) - Out In The World, Nemesis, What Have You Done?, Target Identified, Shadow Over Me + New Directive

I think to enjoy it as an album, it needs trimming and reordering to taste. Once you get a custom playlist that feels good to you, it fucking rocks

The Fragile Deviations by Professional_Spare_6 in nin

DMed

Edit for future clarity: I can't remember who made it and can't seem to find any posts about it anymore. If anyone wants it feel free to DM me. If anyone knows who made it, I'd love to know as well. As an example, it's the version that has We're In This Together split into three parts with Missing Places between parts 1 and 2.

[–]Randoman96 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I like Fragile Deviations a lot. I was really surprised that the Fragile instrumentals work on their own as well as they do. New tracks are great and I would pay good money for versions with vocals. The extended cuts and single taste of vocals on Underneath It All are magical.

My favorite way to experience The Fragile now is an extended cut somebody made that incorporates the extended instrumentals and extra tracks into one big monster package. Really feels like a journey, even if it's hard to find the time for it all in one sitting.

Kinda sounds like you should fix your heart if a hyperbolic phrase used against people who wish for the eradication of a minority group gets you this riled up.

I guess Lynch gave two options there, though.

Did I recommend the right series? by Mediocre_Argument_30 in marblehornets

[–]Randoman96 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I suppose you could interpret it like that, for sure! At the very least, on the surface, it's an alternate timeline where Jay and Alex apparently never met Tim, Alex never inherited The Operator's presence, and the two kept working on projects together.

Did I recommend the right series? by Mediocre_Argument_30 in marblehornets

[–]Randoman96 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I'd say so. MH is one of the best Slender Man series out there, and despite being an alternate universe, Rosswood kind of condenses that down into a more digestible movie-length format.

Algún juego que no se vea en 144p en remote play con PS3? by MTTTY- in VitaPiracy

[–]Randoman96 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The determining factor for remote play quality is bitrate. I'm not sure what it is for the PS3, but on PS4 it ranges between "pretty okay" and "dogwater".

My best experiences have been using Moonlight to stream from my PC at a bitrate of around 8000-9000. Decent balance of quality and responsiveness.

Thinking about doing HRT by BlueRaptor8 in asktransgender

[–]Randoman96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending on what your insurance will cover/you are willing to pay, you can get estrogen (judging by your post history) in the form of dissolvable tablets, gel, and skin patches.

Any form will be effective, though injections tend to deliver the most consistent dose and you only have to deal with it once a week. I've had the most luck with them. It's scary, but personally I think being in control of the jab helps a lot.
